Hey guys,
I'm looking for used lowering springs for a NBS Tahoe. I'm taking the bags off the rear of my Hoe and want to go with either a 3" or 5" drop spring, but don't want to pay the price of new springs if possible.
Anyone have some?
I've been running mine without a sway bar for almost a year with no problems. I think the key is to make sure you have individual valves for each corner of the truck.
There's a few people with bagged 4wd's on here I think. Most that keep the half shafts will bolt the bags on the upper control arm and then build a bracket on the frame. I don't think you can get as low with this setup though and I've heard it puts a huge amount of strain on the upper balljoint...
I haven't started on the front yet because I've got to schedule a weekend that my buddy can come over and help. I've decided to order a C-notch and reverse 4 link (and maybe a watts link too) and cut the floor now (instead of waiting for the bodydrop. So after we get the front done... I'll work...
Well we weren't able to get the front done due to time (I had to have it driveable by Monday). We put on the DJM lowers and McGaughy spindles and cranked down the torsions about as far as they can go.
We started looking at clearance issues up front and there appear to be a lot. we had to cut...
Well I didn't start until the afternoon, but we were able to get the back done, and start on the front. I'll have more pics of the front setup tomorrow night.
We ran in to a lot of fitment issues in the rear to make sure the bag wouldn't rub where the bumpstop bracket was. I ended up having...
Well I've finally started. I'm bagging my 2003 Tahoe. I started tonight on the rear and hope to have everything finished by tomorrow (or Sunday at the latest since this is my daily driver).
What I'm running
2 - Viair 480c Compressors
2 - 5 gallon aluminum air tanks
4 - Parker 1/2 air...
Thanks MOB! Sorry I couldn't get your setup...but I appreciate all the help! Hopefully if all goes as planned it will be done this weekend. I've got all the valves and airline plumbed, so now its a matter of getting the bags in and bolted up.
Here's what I'm running:
McGaughys Drop...
Has anyone run bags on the DJM lower control arms? Did you have to weld on a bigger plate to bolt the bag or just use the stock plate? Below are some pics of what I am wanting to accomplish (bagging it this weekend). I'll run the DJM lower control arm, with a small cup on the bottom and using a...
There are a few different types of brackets you can get, but you're mainly looking for bag cups. Attached is the picture of the ones that I got from CoolCars. They are a pretty simple install, and you can cut them down/modify them if you want some more drop. The top bracket mounts by the...
MOB.... I'm looking to do my rear any time now...I'm in Apollo Beach. I was just going to do it myself using rear cups...with the stock 4 link for now until I start my stock floor frame....
I've got the rear end currently on the Tahoe... as well as another sitting in the garage.
When...
Never heard of them....I've been in Tampa for most of my life and there aren't many places to trust in the area... a lot of shops are only in business a short time and pack up. If you're looking for a great shop that will do quality work, Jimmy's Rod and Customs is the place to go... but he's on...
