Update: Dealer called me this morning saying my truck was ready for pickup. They originally told me to expect 2-3 weeks. They got it back to me in 5 business days from the point of me towing it and dropping it there for service. They were apparently expecting a longer delay on backordered...

    Brand new 2021 Denali shuddering

FWIW, my '21 AT4 is at the dealer getting all 16 lifters replaced. IME, the rough idle was very noticeable at stop lights... meaning you coast up to the light and stop, and the engine is trembling to the point it sounds/feels like it's going to stall. Tach blipping down below 300 RPM at idle...

Update: Dealer confirmed it is the lifter issue and is replacing all 16 under the TSB/Warranty. Hopefully picking up a loaner tomorrow as they said ETA is 2-3 weeks. Apparently there's more club members at my dealer who got in line before me. Looks like there is also an active recall related...

Shrubs2K2 - Any chance you have a link to the latest TSB that references the 8k miles for 1 vs both banks? Looks like I joined the club tonight. '21 AT4 5.3 w/ late 2020 build date. 3k miles.

2021 Tahoe 5.3 engine failure at 4,800 miles

DangIt - Did GM replace all lifters and pushrods on both sides for you? My '21 AT4 just started doing the same thing. Need to call the dealer in the morning. Was hoping there's a TSB or something I can refer to.

    16 Yukon SLT....upgrade to a 19 Esky, or a 21 SLT/Denali?

'21 Escalade, easy. :) Seriously, I would go with '21. I had a '16 Yukon and while I liked the truck, the '21s have so much new tech, I'd go that way for the same money.

    Build Times on 2021 Yukons

Guys - Just be aware that when ordering a vehicle, both the Dealer and GM have roles in that process. GM allocates a certain # of orders per month per dealer that will get fulfilled based on their manufacturing capacity, the size of the Dealer, etc. Obviously, capacity is lower at the moment...

Illuminated Grille Emblem and Puddle Light Install Step by Step

I installed the illuminated black emblem on my '21 AT4 today. The write up here was great (thanks!) to know what I was in for. I'll add a few comments from my install experience: 90% of the job is getting the old emblems off without damaging the grill. They're attached much stronger than I...

    Auto Stop Function

Biggest problem with the auto stop/start is it wasn't designed for 2 foot'd drivers. Engine doesn't restart until your foot is completely off the brake pedal. I find I hit the gas sooner than the engine is fully restarted and ready go, causing a concerning powertrain bounce/chug in the engine...

    5.3 v 6.2 daily use and mpg

My advice to the OP is to decide if the 6.2L is worth $10k (+15% MSRP) more than the 5.3L, not to mention the need to fill up on Premium vs. Regular. I also am not a huge fan of all of the chrome bling on the Denali (YMMV), and would much rather have the AT4 look.. which the 6.2L isn't...

    Mobil 1 212, 212A oil filter changes

I'm getting ready to do my first oil change on a '21 AT4 and just ran out to the garage to inventory oil and filters on hand. I have 3 M1-212A... 2 are the longer ones, 1 shorter. 2 longer ones have a copyright 2016 date. Shorter one is 2019. I probably didn't even realize the size...

    First Oil Change

I just hit 500 miles in my '21 AT4 and I'll be changing the oil this weekend. With COVID, it's taken me 3 months to get 500 miles (WFH now), so I'm not waiting for the DIC or some other signal. Mobil 1 oil & filter doesn't cost that much. I believe the dealer said that my first couple oil...

    Denali or AT4

I just purchased a '21 AT4 and went through the same decision. Bottom line, a similarly equipped Denali will be about $10k more than an AT4 regardless of what discounts you qualify for. For my use, likes and value prop -- it's not worth the additional $10k when the only thing the Denali offers...

    rear wiper clicking

urnamehere: Did you ever figure out the problem? I'm having a problem with my rear wiper as well. It's very intermittent, but sometime it'll wipe - no problem - when I hit the switch. Other times, it does nothing. When it does nothing, the rear wiper solvent pump still works though...

2004 Tahoe - Replace Radio with Current Generation?

Hi Guys, I have a 2004 Tahoe Z71 with Bose, Onstar and rear DVD. If I buy a current generation (2007 or newer) double DIN GM radio, say from a Tahoe/Yukon/Burban, will that radio be a direct plug in replacement and everything will still work ok? Steering wheel controls, Bose, etc. I've...
