    Rust at 1,500 miles?

Please take a pic and post it. That would help a ton. Is this a painted area? Are you sure it's rust? I'm just curious. What did the dealer tell you? It is of course covered under your warranty. At this point, everything is covered. Did the dealer tell you that part was an unpainted surface or...

WeatherTech Mud Guards - Painted to match

I put the WeatherTech's on also. They look good and fit perfectly. They also are super easy to install. Unfortunately, I had to take my front's off after I did the leveling kit and bigger tires because the tires rubbed them pretty bad. I left the rear on for now. I thought it would look stupid...

    Yakima Basket

The're Cragar Soft 8 wheels with Goodyear Duratrac tires. FYI - These are really great tires. I have them on my F350 and now my Tahoe. Here's a link to a lot more info on the tires and wheels; http://tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=34254

    Yakima Basket

Just finished installing a Yakima Megawarrior Roof Basket. It was a very easy install and well made. http://yakima.com/shop/cargo/gear-baskets/megawarrior I bought it from Amazon. The price was good and I get free shipping because I'm an Amazon "Prime" member...

Max tire size w/CCM 2.5/1 kit

No they won't. It's not a huge difference but enough to notice. The kit is only $150 and the install is very easy. Can you do it yourself? If so, and you really don't like it, you could easily take it off. I'm positive you wouldn't though. It really just gives it a little more "attitude".

Max tire size w/CCM 2.5/1 kit

bolo1g2 - The leveling/lift kit costs about $150 with shipping from CCM. Installation of the kit cost about $100. The wheels were just about $500 from Summit Racing. That included the wheels, center caps, and a McGard lug nut/lock kit. The tires ran just about $1,500/$1,600 including...

    Have you heard of DuraBurb?

I hadn't seen this before. I didn't know anyone was doing it on this scale. Very nice engineering all around. I've been wanting a diesel SUV ever since I sold my Excursion. Wow. Now I just have to figure out how this fits into my vehicle situation! I just bought this Tahoe a couple of months...

Max tire size w/CCM 2.5/1 kit

Thanks for the info Zed. I'm having the kit installed today. I wanted to do it myself but haven't had a place to do it inside this past weekend. And it's been too cold outside for me to do it in the driveway. I can't stand cold weather the older I get. Then I'll have to decide on which tires to...

Max tire size w/CCM 2.5/1 kit

Sounds like the consensus is that 285/70/17's are the largest size possible without trimming. And may require some trimming. Zed 71 - You're running 285/65/18's. Those are basically identical in size to the 285/70/17's. And you have a leveling kit and still had to do a fair bit of trimming...

Max tire size w/CCM 2.5/1 kit

These are the wheels that I ordered; http://www.summitracing.com/parts/CRR-3978860/ They have a 4.5 inch backspace. I think that's 1/2 less than the stock 17's? Does anyone know if that's correct? I don't mind them sticking out a little bit at all. Especially if that means less chance of...

    Change in 2010 4WD

As an update to this thread, the two-speed transfer case is still available. I bought my 2011 for the same reason Dave Head gave. Because I'm able to flat tow it behind my RV. That's a fantastic option and it's getting harder to find these days. The two-speed transfer case is an option by...

Max tire size w/CCM 2.5/1 kit

I did a search and looked for a sticky but still can't find what I need. As I said in the heading, I have a 2.5 front 1 inch rear lift/leveling kit from CCM I'm installing this weekend. I plan on running 17's because I want to use this truck to do some "real" 4-wheeling at times. What tire...

    2007 off road tahoe

BMX, I really love the way you're doing your rig. I'm looking to do a similar type of setup. I tow mine behind my RV and want to head out west soon. I'm on the east coast. I may have missed it, but could you please give me the tire and wheel size? I ordered the CCD 2.5/1 leveling/lift kit and...
