    How would I check for that code? I've had 4 v8 explorers as daily drivers I'm new to the gm scene. I've reset the code multiple times and within three minutes of driving only p0300 comes back is there another way to check for that? Thank you guys for all the help you are providing me.

    Well it stutters when starting more like a dead battery or the alternator going but both of those are fine.

    Thanks for the replies! Here's another question, when I get in my car it has a bit of a stutter when cranking sometimes. Could the timing be off? And if so, could it cause the backfire and skip, possibly cause it to throw this code?

    Just made the crossover from explorers to a tahoe. Its a 98 4x4, it has a skip to it like a spark plug is out, the vehicle runs and drives like a dime minus the skip, it runs obdII code 300 which I believe is multiple misfire, also it backfires... just wondering if anyone else has had this...
