Think I'll stick to the instructions like you did. Just wanted to make sure I get everything before I start. I'll add a torque wrench to the list. Good idea with the cleaning. I know it's a real mess under there.
I've been following this thread. I've diagnosed my oil pan gasket as leaking for sure. Just want to make sure I get the right gasket and figure out if I should or should not use RTV sealant. Definitely don't want to have to do this twice.
So I have pretty much convinced myself to keep the hoe and swap in a 6.0. The problem is I don't know enough to do the swap myself let alone rebuild a motor if necessary. Anyone know of any shops that won't completely rip me off??
Yes I intend to replace the other side in the near future if I still have the hoe. I have been looking for something newer lately but haven't found anything I like.
So for an update I did resolve my vibration issue. To get to the point it was the drivers side wheel bearing. It became easier to diagnose as the noise became louder and I could tell it was from the drivers side. After checking everything else on the front end I went ahead and replaced the...
Thanks for the reply Chubbs. I did some looking around again today by myself and tomorrow I should have someone that can help me. The noise is certainly louder this past week so I am getting more concerned. I am debating on replacing a lot in the front end due to the mileage and from what I...
Today I got my brand new tires put on and I have the exact same noise. I am noticing that it is really more of a vibration and I can feel it in the steering wheel if helps any.
Thanks, I will check that today. One correction to make from my above description. The noise does not go away when I steer slight left but only to the right.
So I recently noticed when traveling about 45mph or more I have what I would describe as more road/tire noise but only when traveling straight. If I slightly turn to the left or right like to change lanes the noise goes away but as soon as you steer it straight it returns. The noise is not...
Hello everyone, I have been debating on selling the hoe and getting an 07-08 Avalanche or Caddy Ext. I like the look of the ext better and I really like the idea of the 6.2. This would not be a daily driver since my job provides me a vehicle.
My concern is I know little about this...
I lived with the problem for 4 years before replacing the BCM because it really only acted up in the summer months and not everyday. It did get worse eventually which is why I replaced it.
I actually got a used one first but decided not to use it since I found a new one at a reasonable price and I did not want to risk the used one not working right after paying a dealer to program it. If someone wants my used one I will sell it real cheap if I can find it.
I had the same problem on my 03 but it was the right rear door ajar message. It's a very common problem. The issue is (or was for me) the Body Control Module. It's a small black box right underneath the drivers side dash with multiple connectors leading to it. I could actually get the problem...
