I have this on my truck.. running an AEM wideband and it's tied into my EGR circuit. My tuning was through Blackbear and my understanding is the a/f shows voltage from 1-5v through pin 55 circuit I believe. My autocal may have captured some readings. It's been a while since I looked at a data...
probably not much wrong with your 5.3. probably just need the valve seals replaced from the system being pressurized. that would cause blue smoke at start up. either way..it's cool to see someone do this swap..
2 things..what kind of springs are you running in the rear and you need to look into the free travel mod for the rear. you do not run the stock rear bump stops being lowered 4". the thud you are feeling is the bump stops hitting the frame. the free travel mod relocates the rear bump stops so...
yeah I don't see any downsides to lighter wheels.. Hell with factory size wheels we could do rolling burnouts lol..
I'll look into the vinyl wrap..It would be nice to test different looks, plus my paint is 20yrs old and needs a refresher..I'm sure they will entertain a few "samples" lol..
you not alone there haha. I have been looking at those center caps since I got the wheels. My chrome bumpers make me want to keep them, but I have looked at some brushed center cap replacements or maybe vinyl wrap it
I can definitely feel the weight difference. I got new shocks and I swear...
Battery is 5 years old if original. Have it load tested to be sure, looks can be deceiving. You have a lot of different codes so you just have to find the common denominator. I would start with a voltage issue from the battery. The dash is reading alternator voltage while running so not a...
Yeah, I've been staring at them thinking how I'm going to dull the finish. Lots of options out there..just not sure why they throw the chrome on as a default..on the other hand my truck has chrome bumpers so its not a complete loss if i leave them..
Well so much for 20's. Found a nice set of carbon 22's at a local shop. I didn't like them in pictures, but they are darker in person and a pretty close color match to my truck.

I'm wondering if they are 285/50/20. I've run both this and OEM sizes and I'm wondering if that's what his are. I like the slightly wider/lower look over OEM size.
FF injectors are 33lb.. 5.3 and 6.0 share the same 28lb injectors. The difference in the lq4 and lq9 is the lq9 has higher compression.. i wouldn't risk the stock injectors with a cammed 6.0. I would stay in under 80% DC is possible.

Haha, the cluster has treated me well. Always fun to max out a 120mph speedo lol.. im running 8.1l 44lb injectors. They are direct plug and play, but cost me about $400. They were flow matched so not the cheapest. Be careful as detonation can take out cam bearings not just lack of oil flow...
Whats up Tony been a while since I've been on here. I see you've been up and down with your ride. I got Denali cluster from you way back! I remember the original 6.0 you had installed. A couple of things I would address from the previous build. Make sure you run bigger injectors. I remember you...
the soot buildup wouldn't be in your intake as you are injecting oil with fuel not air. you would see buildup on the spark plugs and maybe the valves. Doesn't sound like its getting into the exhaust and is running well so carry on!! LS engines do tend to burn a little oil and still run well.
If you have constant fan on you will need to swap to an 0411 pcm. Had this problem on my tahoe. Some early pcm had an operating system that's not compatible and causes the constant fan on and both fans run on high if the ac is running regardless of engine temp. You will burn up relays in wire...
Dynatechs original design. The wires are held against the head to avoid the hoop. Hindsight 20/20 I wouldn't get them. I'm thinking about yanking them for some ARH like Mark's. All this plug talk makes me think I have a misfire lol.

I got wires spec'd for my 05 GTO I believe. They are short. I was wondering why you were having to zip tie them. I have a unique problem though with the hump lol...

I actually did the vin decode when it was free..my post from 10 years ago..GTO has been sold..long live the tahoe lol..my truck is a LS but is optioned out like a SLE..leather, tow package, tow hooks, body colored molding and bumper, but black mirrors..odd duck.
my special Hoe lol..more rare...
Not to completely derail this build thread but I found a NVG149 transfer case adapter for the 4l80 ..I had no idea the part cost almost$500.can u say markup?!.would this be the only missing link for the Denali 80e AWD swap?

That's funny because I couldn't unplug mine lol. It slid of off fine. I just left it and plugged it up to the new trans. At least it won't disconnect.
