Resurrecting my hoe'
Got the fuel pump replaced was going to put oil cooler lines on but didn't realize fittings on end going to radiator were removable so had to order new ones and timing cover, t-stat, and exhaust doughnuts. Did take block to machine shop though for new cam bearings, pistons to be pressed on...- dadof31971

Resurrecting my hoe'
Heres the new goodies rolling in so far - New Delco fuel pump, delco water pump, new oil cooler inlet and outlet lines and crankshaft with bearings. Got the rebuild kit today (3-20), pic is stock photo but is exact one I bought, still waiting for knock sensor but things are looking promising.- dadof31971

Well took those with my old pre pay phone and not yet figured out if I can enlarge them now. Thought id start a new thread since havent been on to even visit in quite awhile. Last spring my beloved 98 LS spun bearing on #1 piston along with lifter tick and few other issues. So here we go pulled engine out soon after initially happened but put on back burner due to sons car dropping...- dadof31971

98 Hoe rebuild
Ok thanks for the info Sunlit. Got the engine out today and so far two bad lifters, and pretty bad grooved crank. Gonna see if machine shop can turn crank but in meantime wondering if anyone might have recommendations on lifters? (good, bad, ones to stay away from etc)- dadof31971

98 Hoe rebuild
Been awhile since ive been in here due to other projects. Probablly a dumb question but was wondering if anyone knew what size the standard pistons and rings are on my 98? Also are there different size timing chains? Never fooled with these vehicles but love her enough to go through the process...- dadof31971
