agree on the HUD. wish they had it on the denali. how can you put that on the acadia and not the yukon versions?? other than no HUD and no fold flat seats, we love the car. we have the XL.
i needed a rental and i got a brand new suburban. what a downgrade. no power vs the 6.2. less smooth...
when you activate the "cooled" seats you hear a fan. thats why they refer to them as ventilated instead of A/C or cooled. love them. warm climate with leather its a god send. lol
go to adamsforums.com lots of good detailing items there. when it comes to detailing there is no better forum.
the engine is not too difficult to clean you just have to be careful and smart. dont use a hp hose and make sure to cover the alternator and air intake. there are so many electrical...
dont run it before you spray it down. you want the engine cool. you run it after to help dry it off. also use a soft spray. do not use a full blast stream. i have a fire hose type sprayer that allows you to use a softer spray. sorry im late to this one. putting cold water on hot surfaces is not...
it takes a lot of time to keep the yukon lookin that good. i do it, but i understand why most people dont. it looks great but i have put over 10 hours to get the glass like shine. even if i got a machine, it would still take a good chunk of time. i enjoy it but i have an XL so i spend a lot of...
i used adams glaze and americana wax on top of adams quick sealant. the wheels were initially cleaned with adams green wheel cleaner but after i sealed them i use only shampoo/water mix to clean them
i used adams glaze and americana wax for those photos i posted. it was pretty easy to use. i had previously used megs nxt wax but so far im liking the americana wax much better. but i will warn ya, to get that shine i probably spent 10+ hrs on the yukon. i washed, alcohol sprayed, clayed...
adams. i found them via this forum at the end of may and have never looked back. i originally used never dull for my wheels, but the last time i used adams green wheel cleaner and boar hair brush only. they were much shinier than never dull! when i roll down the road, my wheels have their own...
When cleaning and detailing my 2013 xl denali, what should i use on the chrome trim? should i treat it like chrome or like the chrome plastic that it probably is? im new to cleaning my own vehicle (always just did the drive thru washes) and i want to make sure i dont use something i shouldnt on...
i just readjusted the clamp so that the fitting is on top and much less visible. it seems to be a good solution. thanks for all your input. welding would be the best but im too much tim the toolman for that. haha
I bought and installed the OEM exhaust tip for 2013 yukon xl denali(6.2L). It affixes to the exhaust via a clamp. The clamp is visible and Im not too fond of that feature. What are my options? im guessing they wont be cheap or easy (not the most mechanically inclined) any responses welcome...
visited the dealer, it appears that the drivers side on the other denalis do the same, at least the one they had left on the lot. unless this is problem on several vehicles, it looks like this is normal. thanks for the replies.
three week old xl denali, drivers side power mirror folds slightly less flush with vehicle than pax side. probably was gonna stop by dealer when i had a chance just wondering if anyone else has knowledge of this problem. lovin my new ride, im just hopin this isnt a sign of things to come.
