What does everyone use to clean the engine bay? With the mixture of paint, plastic, aluminum etc I'm curious everyone's technique. I'm also always hesitant to spray too much water around in there with all the electronic connections.

EDIT: New to forums and just paid attention to the 2007+ forum. Didn't know there was a whole section on detailing. Nice writeup with pictures on how to clean some of these. Still interested in people showing theirs off with tips if you want though!

go to adamsforums.com lots of good detailing items there. when it comes to detailing there is no better forum.

the engine is not too difficult to clean you just have to be careful and smart. dont use a hp hose and make sure to cover the alternator and air intake. there are so many electrical connections, just try to avoid directly spraying them. make sure the engine is cold and after youre done run it for a bit.

hope this helps.
