Truck doesnt run bad at all. It has 108k on it. At idle it has a slight stumble but nothing outside of what Id call normal and no symptoms at part throttle. Compression test is where I was going this weekend because I suspect a lifter of valve spring. Guess Ill find out.
This is a new Tahoe in the fleet. Driving the other night, went to juice it getting on the highway and it kind of fell on its face around 5krpm and started pinging/almost rattling real bad, came off the go pedal and the check engine light starts flashing. Code was a pending P0303. I swapped that...
I dont have the write up on hand, but Ive fixed a few tahoes/yukons by adding a resistor at the key cylinder.
When you try to start it does it start and immediately die?
Oil having a gasoline smell is kind of the norm. If you were washing down cylinders bad enough to have gasoline truly mixing with the oil you would know have smoke billowing out the tail pipe. As far as the red color on the gas cap, there's no way dex cool has made it to your gas tank, the two...
Does it only do it cold? For one, stop doing ANYTHING yourself...you payed somebody to do a job and your suspecting they didn't...Take it to a different shop and have them look it over...Dont tell them what you think it is...just say, it's making a noise, what is it.
How many miles on the...
Why in the world are you running e85? Have you done something to the engine to command e85? A stock motor with that much octane is going to do some funky things. Your ltft's will be off the charts because you don't have the same volatility of normal pump gas....I'm very interested in whats...
Honestly, fill it with jb weld, sand, and paint. it'll look pretty good and sounds like it'll cover all your bases. You could also drop one with one well aimed beer bottle and call it a day....lol
Built my own moons ago to hold 2 10s, sounded alright. With 8s or 10s, your not going to shake the neighborhood, but youll definitely wake up the stock system.
Need a lot more information. What kind of leds...like, lightbars, headlights, driving lights? relays, fuses, switches? worked on or around anything else? sounds like your battery connection is junk... but i have no where near enough information to diagnose whats going on.
Brake hoses are much more likely the culprit, could need some pads and rotors too. When you do the front lines, especially if you use nicopp, make sure the body isn't going to crush them against the frame. Nicopp is stupid easy to work with, but it is more fragile.
an upgrade from stock...with no performance parts...i think you'll find people much more helpful if you figure out what color unicorn your looking for.
The autoride out back should not be affected at all by lifting up the front an inch or two...now, how big of a tire do you "think" your going to get under it? lol
Stepper motors on that truck are a little involved, but pretty easy once you figure it out. Decent soldering skills are required. Like others have said, there are TONS of youtube videos out there to help you though it. You could replace all of them yourself for cheaper than a 12 pack of good...
@Tyler Houseknecht those will work just fine for you. Take your time and it'll come out fine. It's much easier than you think.
@adriver anytime you want to forget what you think you know, shoot me a message.
So what exactly are you doing then? I'm extremely confused as to why you want to tear down a transmission in perfect working order? Your money buddy.....
@adriver dude, what the hell are you on about? The guy CLEARLY is at the basic of basic level of automotive sound and you come in like a tornado with all over the place opinions. A for effort guy...but uhhh, no. hahaha
@Tyler Houseknecht hit your local walmart and pick up a pair of pioneer...
The sensor is cheap and its been a year or two since new coolant was added. Could also just be the cluster itself. First I would be absolutely sure your not cooking that engine. Second, I would pull the sensor and swap it for a new one. If you still have the problem I would surely suspect...
