Vibration at 65-up or 2100-up rpm

Ok, its been doing this since I bought it 6 months ago. 99 Cadillac, brand bew wheels and tires, all new wheel bearings, front brakes, rear pinion bearing, ball joints. Rebuilt transfer case. Once I hit 65 or around 2100 rpm the steering wheel starts shaking like crazy. Tried balancing old...

    No rear heat

Tried changing the controls around but still no heat is coming from the vents in the rear. Working great in the front. Could this be a blend door issue?

    Vibration in the front

C all d my tire guy and he said they didn't balance the tires so that should cure it.

    Vibration in the front

Well I just had the tires balanced. All ball joints replaced and an alignment. Truck still has a ridiculous vibration at around 70 mph. Also has all new front brakes and new hub assemblies. ---------- Post added at 05:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:43 PM ---------- Any ideas?

Pinion bearing. Gears and everything are good. Should be done tomorrow afternoon . Man I'm happy to get that out of the way! Gonna drive it a good bit this weekend too.

    I hate these noises...please help

That is a really good guess! Just left the mechanics and the pinion bearing is bad and he is just about to take the cover off to check the gears.

    I hate these noises...please help

So I was having some odd sound's apparently coming from the t-case area. Pulled it and found the output shaft bearing was no good so I replaced it and reinstalled (major pita) it. That seems to have helped. Now I still hear a God-awful grinding or howling sound when slowing down whether the...

Just bought a 99 4wd...omg what the hell

I called RiversideGear.com and their bearing measures exactly the same and from what he was saying has more balls in it. Ordered that and the trans adapter gasket. All of my seals look fine. Any suggestions before I put it all back together?

Just bought a 99 4wd...omg what the hell

The plastic keeper for the output shafts bearing set came out. So all the sounds I was hearing were the ball bearings bouncing off of each other. ---------- Post added at 08:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:52 PM ---------- Picture isn't the best but you can see all the ball bearings...

No. Right now the case is kind of twisted up in there. I'm going to drop the cross member tomorrow and drop it out.

Just bought a 99 4wd...omg what the hell

No there won't be any band-aiding. Mag welding will be to replace any lost material do to rubbing and hopefully I can get away with doing the pump upgrade kit. What in there can make that popping sound? I did raise the rear up and put it in gear and the popping/crackling sound is for sure coming...

Just bought a 99 4wd...omg what the hell

I will end up TIG'ing this one if it needs it. Just have to find some mag filler rods at the shop. Since its kind of a small area over-heating will not be an issue and should be easy to "radiate" the area too. I'll post pics of the process if I remember to. I took the drive shafts out and it...

I don't mind the door emblems but the big crest and Escalade have got to go. :/ ---------- Post added at 05:27 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:26 PM ---------- What is the t-case upgrade I've read about.

Just bought a 99 4wd...omg what the hell

Yeah I will probably drop it off at the shop and do the same. I'm somewhat of a mechanic but the guy I use is one of our buddies who also does work on our hot rods to so trust is priceless there. I'm not real knowledgeable on 4wd stuff but I've always loved the mid-90's GM trucks so I thought it...

Will do this Saturday for sure. The fluid was a brownish maybe blackish color. Not really burnt but smelled like old gear oil. ---------- Post added at 10:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:02 PM ---------- The silencer and exhaust looks great. I'm really leaning to drive train but not sure.

Like the title says, I bought a 1999 ESC. A few weeks ago. Had a blown head gasket and a few ignition issues. Got that done. Now its running nice and smooth so I can really here the aggravating stuff. There is a steady clicking sound coming from what sounds like the front wheels somewhere. A...
