So I was having some odd sound's apparently coming from the t-case area. Pulled it and found the output shaft bearing was no good so I replaced it and reinstalled (major pita) it. That seems to have helped. Now I still hear a God-awful grinding or howling sound when slowing down whether the brakes are engaged or not. Also when accelerating there is a crazy whiring or howling sound, only when you are on the gas, no matter what speed you are going, if you let off the throttle it stops. Just replaced both wheels hub/bearing assemblies with brand new Moogs. Brand new ceramic brake pads, brand new rotors. Checked the rear drums and nothing out of the ordinary. Drained the front diff and refilled with Mobil 1 LS. The T-case is sporting the blue stuff fresh from the dealer (Auto Trak II). Haven't gotten to the rear-end fluid yet. Drained and refilled the trans with Lucas and a new filter. So umm, I'm not really interested in a frame-off resto of a 1999 ESC. There's just too much going on here for me to be able to continue guessing and spending time and money on this thing. Any ideas?
