I rebuilt mine..used Randy ' s ...timken..lock tabs from dealer. The modtruckcentral thread is great also Randy ' s differential book. It would have been easier to have it done but what the heck...learned a lot.

well I bought Steelman's ChassisEar...wireless mic system. will hook it up this weekend to figure out the problem. also I sill check the rear diff. Pumped!
You will get it. Make sure you file down the flat surface on the knuckle if the chisel mars the mating surface. Also I used anti seize on the inside surface hoping it will make easier for next time

Hi Guys, I have a 2004 Yukon AWD 5.3 140k miles I have a howl in the front end. what I have done, changed the fluid in both diffs and the transfer case. the rear diff and the tcase fluid looked pretty good also. the front fluid was a little low and there was some metal paste on the plug but...
I pounded mine off(sounds bad) with a 2 lb short handled hammer pounded right on the side of the hub as best as I could 2004 140k...fortunately they came right off but I did pound the hell out of them
