    it would best to buy it a a complete Drop out. Meaning they leave the wireing harness and all accessories and brackets attached. I have never done a swap on the truck, but its best to have everything out of the same truck and at our finger tips.

    GM stopped useing the 5.7 in 2000 when the changed the body style. 2000 and up came with 4.8 or 5.3. The 5.3 hybrid came out in 07 or 08. And of course the 6.0 in the Denali and Silverado HD's

    Towing question

    I have both the hitch and the brake controler. Stopping the trailer with out one would be a challenge and half. The hitch does a good job, just looking for anything else to help it along. Are the Denali and Z71 coil springs the same?

    Please Help, new and need parts.

    It will be difficult to find those interior pats on car part.com The interchange info they have is very limited on interior parts. If your seats are leather you are better of buying replacement covers from GM or aftermarket supplier. You will be hard pressed to find good used material.

    Idler/Pitman arm issues.

    Slopping steering is part of it, also when you are makeing turns you can hear a slight clunk. You can also feel what I describe as "shift" when turning. Its hard to explaing the feeling in the front, but you would know something isnt right.

    Tire Recomendations

    I ran the General Grabber HTS and liked them. If you want a tire that will get you good gas mileage, look for one that has a LRR (low rolling resistance) rateing. I am running Bridgestone Duellers right now. They have great wet/snow traction. Especially since we just got 21in of snow tuesday...

    The more the brakes get bed the better they are. Completely worth the upgrade IMO. Cant wait to get the camper hooked to see how they do with that pig. Now I just need to find a better looking front bumper.
