you should try the nitro 2's. theyre actually not that bad if you want a soft ride at a moderate height. i think the rebound on the belltech shocks are better than the bilsteins if youre lowered and a lot cheaper. check the airlift 1000 kit for the rear also if you bottom out. cost less than...
hmmm. can you compare them to the sp's? do they absorb bumps pretty well? belltech shocks ride good but they just dont absorb bumps very well. everytime i hit a bump in the road feels like the cars about to fall apart.
i wanna say it was better quality, but tbh it felt the same to me, the nitro 2's felt more sporty if you know what i mean. bilsteins feels like your cars all over the place, although it did absorb little bumps in the road a lot better than the belltech shocks. the 5125 did feel a little better...
theyre all soft bro. i installed the hd 4600s in the front and 5125 in rear. both were super soft, maybe softer than the nitro 2's i had tbh. i went back to the sp's, rides a lot better than the bilsteins. just cant get rid of the bottom out feel in front everytime i hit a bump while im...
installed the bilsteins and airlift in the rear. bilsteins are kinda smushy, absorbs bumps a lot better though. imma drive for a couple weeks and see if it gets better. might have to switch back to the sp's and raise it up a bit.
fronts: 24-065009
rears: 24-143806
i was gonna go with the shorter 5100 in the rear. heard the hds for the rears are too long and dont ride that great.
went to put on the front bumpstops. the whole bumpstops holder has been cut off. now theres nothing to hold the bumpstop in place. should i mount one on or should i just leave it with no bumpstop?
theres nothing to crush because im basically riding with no bumpstop in front. i think thats why ive been getting that rough ride. theres no cushion between the control arm and the frame. gonna go pick up some z71 bumpstops from the dealer and install them this weekend along with helper bags in...
you guys think some z71 bumpstops would help? after reading around, a lot of people seem to have replaced or left their old bumpstops. i cut my whole bumpstop out when i first lowered the car. i think the harsh ride is jsut from the lower control arm hitting metal to metal everytime i hit a...
what do you mean by 170/60? The rear is fine, im actually pretty happy with the rear right now. I think ill get an even better ride in the rear once i install the helper bags. Im mainly worried about the front, feels like theres no suspension travel at cruising speeds.
first i bought belltech 757 kit with torsion keys and belltech nitro 2 shocks, ride was terrible. so i bought the belltech 2" spindles. ride got better at low speeds but still had the bottoming out feel at 30mph+. so bought some belltech sp's. part number is 9513. firmer than the nitro 2's, less...
yup did all that, got shock extensions, free travel mod. all parts are for an 03 denali. everything was bought brand new. about to install some helper bags on the car this weekend, but i doubt that would help the bottoming out. the shocks feels like its fully compressed already everytime i hit a...
belltech everything. belltech 2" spindles and belltech 3" springs/ belltech sp shocks. drop is about a 3/5. fender measurements are 33 front 33.5 rear approx so not too low. it rides good at slow speeds in the parking lot, but once i hit the road, its like im riding on 4 poles instead my shocks...
anyone had any experience with the bilstein hd shocks on your lowered denali? just went though the belltech nitro 2 and sp. they both ride like shit imo.
the hd valving of sp?

i just want a smooth ride and shocks can absorb bumps well. im open to other brands as well if you guys know some good ones.
just switch to belltech spindles, rides somewhat better. most likely will upgrade the shocks. the nitro 2 are a bit soft and feels like it doesnt absorb bumps very well. what do you guys recommend? was looking at either the belltech sp's or the bilstein hd's.
I have the belltech 2/3-4 torsion kit with nitro 2 shocks all around. Also have the free travel mod done. Rides good at slow speeds, but rides super stiff while cruising.
