It was the transfer case shift motor when mine did that. I got it from Amazon and it was an easy swap. Mine now throws a service 4wd code every once in awhile but they say there is a system re flash that covers that because mine still works fine other than the error message on start up.

Mine does the same thing but I narrowed it to the passengers rear area. I think it's something with the rear heat and air. It's only audible with the key on even if the blower is off.
I do it for a living so it's a piece of cake. But honestly it isn't bad at all. The bypass controls the door locks and the immobilized so there aren't many wires at all.

At my shop we use harnesses from www.bestkits.com if you want to retain onstar you need an rp5-gm11, if you don't care about onstar you need an rp4-gm11. Both will retain steering wheel controls and chime.
Easiest way to run the wires clean is to un bolt the middle row. You down have to remove it but once it is loose you can pick it up in the spot you are working in to help run the wires under the carpet.
There is my setup, it's an 500 watt mono block and an 800 watt 4 channel. I run a 3.5 farad cap just to help a little. I upgraded the alternator wire and body ground to 4 gauge. I don't have a problem with dimming or anything on mine.
Curious if someone could give me part numbers for longer sway bar end links for my 04 Tahoe. It's lifted around 3" and I've read that the longer links will help the ride some.
I just purchased a used yukon that had large spacers in the rear. It has the rear shocks topped out. Will shock spacers fix this. Mine has the non air auto ride so I didn't wanna do away with those shocks.
