    My understanding is tow mode can still lock up. If I put it in tow mode, my hoe will be about 1900RPM on the highway at 70ish...same as if in D. I will report what happens, but i really think this is an AFM issue. At least I hope it is.

    I agree....I just think it's either the TCC stays engaged and lugs the engine or the AFM doesn't kick back in soon enough. My test this morning seems to make me believe that AFM is the problem. If it is not in V4, it doesn't ever happen. Range V8 is on the way:party52:

    code P0430 bank 2 ..need help

    p0430 in my case was catalytic deficiency. My very honest and trustworthy mechanic told me it's not the same as a broken catalyst, so he said to drive it until I could replace the cats. It cost me about $600 to replace the cat. In the meantime, I did the anti fouler trick to keep the code...

    It stops...but it also stops when in tow mode and also does not do it if i slow down gently and hit idle speeds and it is in v8 mode. I just ordered a Range V8 to disable AFM. I wanted one anyway and I found the info in this thread made me pull the trigger I did have the transmission folks...
