Thanks for the advice, I'll definitely look at the tensioner when I have the belt off. As for the transmission, I had a flush done at 200000km and have been avoiding it since.- Brougham

My main worry at this point is the transmission crapping out on me. It's not acting up yet, but I have done quite a lot of heavy towing with it. Very Hard 1-2 shift, Service Stabilitrak Light
Its been suggested many time to go to a dealership and have the Tech II hooked up while this is happening. I managed to make it into the dealer once last year while this was occurring, unfortunately, all it said was that it was in failsafe mode, there was no reason given for the fault lights...- Brougham

LY5 tank into LMG
I've talked it over with a couple of GM parts guys and they seem 99% sure everything will fit. I'm goina pick up the parts this weekend, but I'm hoping someone else has some feedback on this before I do the 5 hour drive to pick the stuff up.- Brougham

LY5 tank into LMG

Remove lift gate interior cover
As for cutting the hole, the service bulletin has a picture of where to drill, the panel has a mark formed into it for this purpose. Which means they anticipated this very problem, but couldn't be bothered to put some sort of secondary release on the inside, whether electrical or mechanical. -
