Found that I had burnt up the 30a fuse for the blower. That circuit is apparently only used for high speed. Seems weird, but obviously I have no idea how these things work...
Some junk got into the blower and made it vibrate. I took it out and cleaned it and now speed 5 does not work. All other speeds work and start immediately, but as soon as I turn it to 5 it goes off.
Any idea what I might have done when I took it out? I did not unplug the fan motor.

I'll quit scouring the hundreds of posts about consoles. :) Maybe I'll fix it up and keep it since it is custom. It is useful I guess.
Just bought a 2000 Yukon XL with wood trim. The entire center console is wood and it has a 1/16" or so protective plastic layer on it that is breaking/peeling off.
Has anyone refinished this console?
Can I just yank out the console and leave it out?(it does have audio controls on it.)
