The most secure and safe way to tie down your cargo on the 2015+ OEM racks is to take your strap and loop under the cross member then go back over your cargo. Do the same on the other side then tighten down. If you're tying down on each side where the rail meets the cross member wind will cause...
My 2008 Yukon SLT w/ nav did this as well. I was able to update the time but as soon as I turned the car off then back on, the time would revert to the original time. I learned to live with the clock being wrong for a portion of each year!!
The OEM 20" vs 17" is just an option/package from the dealer. GM didn't upgrade transmissions based on wheel package. 305s is a common size, just don't drive like you stole it and periodically keep an eye on the transmission temp if you're concerned.
I added a CCM 2.5"/1" leveling kit on a stock '07 Tahoe LTZ and was able to fit Toyo M/T 275/65R20s. I initially has minor rubbing which was eliminated with minor trimming. If I had to do it over again, I'd go 275/60R20.
The pictures are in order: 1. stock; 2. after leveling kit install; 3...
I agree with Unit171 - flush your fluid more often and stay on top of it. Personally, I'd skip that mod and install a transmission cooler.
I live in FL and was constantly getting trans temps between 200-230*. I installed a Tru-Cool Max 40k (tranny cooler) on my Tahoe and it hasn't gone above...
I didn't notice the noise until I came across this post. I have a 2015 Yukon SLT w/ OEM 20" wheels and notice it around the mph previously mentioned range (40-45). It's not really noticeable unless you're stay in that mph range.
I've had GMs my whole life and recently picked up a 2007 Tahoe LTZ w/ 130k miles in mint condition for $4k from a friend that had depreciated it through his business and was basically dumping it. Aside from a CCM leveling kit and BFG A/T's I do not plan to add any additional mods.
I'm new to...
I have a 2015 Yukon. Are yall saying that the buffeting noise starts around 45-50 mph even when the windows remain UP or when the windows are rolled down and then back up at those speeds?
I picked up an 07 Tahoe recently for a steal and the previous original owner replaced the auto ride struts with non-auto ride due to the cost so the "service suspension" message is showing up on the dash.
I've seen numerous members state to disconnect the neg battery cable, pull the "RTD" fuse...

Felix, first and foremost thank you for your dedication to this form. I've been following your posts for some time now and have gained a wealth of knowledge, thanks to you. I've always had GM 4x4 1500 trucks and made the conversion to a Yukon a few years back and would never go back! I recently...
