    I work at a dealership for Jeep, Chrysler, Dodge. Anything with an aluminum head should have anti-seize used on the spark plugs. The factory even uses it when assembling the engines.

    Well I killed it.

    Had it towed to my regular Transmission shop and got it rebuilt. Corvette servos, a lot of new internal parts, Torque convertor and other bits and pieces with a 36 month/ 36,000 mile warranty for less than 2500.

    Not under the console as I do not have a console in the vehicle. And thank you for the info. I may just upgrade the stereo to a newer model and use an aftermarket amp and run wires for the rear doors.

    Hey Sunlit, what would be required to add the factory amp and the harness for it? I would like to add the rear door speakers though I also think I may just wait till I have more time to actually wire in to the rear door harnesses for the speakers directly from after market amps.

    Yes it is the SRS Airbag control module, no center console in my Tahoe. I am not seeing any thing under the dash between the steering wheel and the hvac box. Is there a chance that my Tahoe does not have the wire harness for the amp?

    I have a 1999 Chevy Tahoe LS with Z71 package and have the same amount of play I am curious as to if this is normal as well, I also have a bit of oil seeping out of the seal there as well.

    So here are a few photos of the dash, one is the AUX Lights switch and the other is of the "Power Center" which is where the cd player is from factory.

    I will get some tomorrow. The switch is on the left side of the steering column and says "AUX LIGHTS". The Tahoe is a 1999 badged as an LS but the VIN comes back as a Z71.
