It’s a board of mostly enthusiasts so the posts about the oil filter got everyone going. Coulda been less harsh on you lol but at least the point was made and you get it now. Moving on, the lifter can sometimes be unstuck using Marvel mystery oil and Italian tune up trick. You can search it on...
I usually do a couple stretches of accelerated driving before each oil change. A couple time everyday is wild lol I actually have to drive someplace where it’s possible to open it up.
Arm rest on drivers seat of the 99 broke and I researched a couple threads but it seems the graphic I need has expired. Anyone have a current graphic that shows how the arm rest is disassembled...
Both those have 6 digits on the odometer. I was thinking of one my first self purchases, a 78 olds 88 with a rolled odometer and my uncle wanted to kill me for buying such a high mileage vehicle lol transmission went out a year later
Anyone know if the mud flap/splash guards are compatible between the 2 as well? I’d like to upgrade those as well. The mirror swap is a must for me at this point. Looks great and not just pretty for no reason. I don’t toe but the extra vision is nice for the old eyes.
Put a test fit of new 2 me rims and it’s a good news bad news situation. Good news is I don’t need the spacers I was told would be needed. Bad news I didn’t notice the bore size. New offset will be noticeable.
I always say my year, (OBS is about the only one I can keep straight) those code words confuse me for some reason. In my head I know what years the body styles changed but just can’t keep the code words straight lol
I would imagine a transport wheel would be rated less than a spare tire considering its intended use. It would probably make for a cool spare tho. My answer is not based on any research, straight from the hip.
Looks like them but those are 15in. These are 17in. Now that im thinking about it previous owner said he used spacers to the calipers on his 02. so I doubt a set of spares for these rigs if a spacer was needed.
Ok. Possibly a set of spares. I realize the set I have is 6 lug but I can’t find any info on it. Only thing similar i find on the net is the ‘soft 8’ 5 lug for Jeeps. ETA did a google search and 07 Yukon spares look to have more holes, but have the same lip like ‘soft 8’s
Found a set of wheels taken off of an 02 Tahoe. Google search is giving me a ‘Soft 8’ as the wheel but I only see them as 5 lug or for Jeeps. I want put them on a 99 Yukon.
If I’m understanding the post correctly any 07-08 gmt900 or 2010 Burb is plug and play exchange on the OBS front brakes? I’m looking to upgrade my brakes as well.
If you have a clean OBS now you are in the gray zone of them not being worth much and “damn I shouldn’t have sold it” You have a better chance finding another of the other ones.
This is an old ass thread but completely answered my question. I too was looking at a cheap set of Canyon takeoffs. “The Canyon is a 12-1.5 thread and my Tahoe is a 14-1.5 thread” was my concern but the hubs are the real issue. I’m not interested in modifying the hub size either. SFFTW
The cheapest option would be to wait the minute for it to warm up before driving off. On my first start up of the day I usually get out and do a walk around after I fire it up.
