4L65E - Slow to shift
fluid has probably 20k miles on it. doesn't smell / look burnt. level is good. unsure as to filter status. it's been doing it since i got the truck, not sure when it developed. taking it to the trans shop tomorrow for a look.- indulf

Rear Axle upgrade for 2006 Yukon Denali
Custom axles are pretty steep. Call Currie Enterprises for a quote, but I'm sure it'll be shocking. While it's not exactly cheap, a rebuild isn't ridiculous either. You can DIY the brakes / ebrakes after a shop takes care of the bearings and seals. Is it just the outer bearings that are bad...- indulf

Ever replaced your AC compressor yourself?
are you charging it yourself or taking it to a shop to do so? if the system has no pressure then the compressor clutch won't engage, the compressor won't spin, and you won't be tearing it up without oil in it. it will need oil when it's charged, however. if you're taking it to a shop then let...- indulf

Spilled coffee on Nav and AC buttons
Deoxit D5 is the best electronics cleaner money can buy. When I got my 04 Denali recently, the rear entertainment controls were corroded, non functional, and looked terrible. After a quick removal and cleanup with Deoxit they're good as new. I can't tell you how much seemingly irreparable... -
05' Yukon XL with one to many issues, and im making no headway!
im working on some similar issues. 1/2 - no clue. i'm replacing the evap canister / purge solenoid this weekend, but i don't have fueling issues. clogged line is a good guess though. 3 - check the wheel bearing. may not be the diff. how many miles? 4 - mine doesn't work either. planning...- indulf

my new to me 04 denali looks like it needs a catalytic converter on the driver's side. prices are stupid. are there weld-in options that i can DIY? i can weld it myself. are there complete manifold back systems i should look at too? in for a penny, in for a pound right? :) thanks yall...- indulf
