Rear brakes getting hot....HELP!
Thats why im thinking master cylinder now. Would pulling the abs fuse cause this maybe? I put it back in and ill drive it tomorrow and see.- mopdog

Rear brakes getting hot....HELP!
I wasnt pulling a trailer this time....just went up the road and was a maybe medium amount of braking got it hot. 300 degrees atleast on the rotor and left rear pads smoke. Right rear was around 225-250 degrees. Im starting to think its the master cylinder.- mopdog

Rear brakes getting hot....HELP!
I finally got the left rear hose replaced and it still does the same thing. Left side is a little hotter then the right side. Thinking now I need to replace the center hose.- mopdog

Rear brakes getting hot....HELP!
You can smell the pads and see smoke sometimes. Also I have had to replace the axle seals more the likely due to the excessive heat. Anyone ever seen a proportioning valve go bad somehow?- mopdog

Ive cleaned the slides and everythig is free...also replaced the one caliper...seems odd both hoses would go bad....- mopdog

Rear brakes getting hot....HELP!
Not sure what to do. 2000 Tahoe with rear disk brakes. Replaced the LR caliper cause I thought it was one one side (maybe cause I see that side more). I noticed today that the other side gets hot also just maybe not as bad. Both wheels spin free as can be and the truck never feels labored. Gets...- mopdog
