    Thats why im thinking master cylinder now. Would pulling the abs fuse cause this maybe? I put it back in and ill drive it tomorrow and see.

    I wasnt pulling a trailer this time....just went up the road and was a maybe medium amount of braking got it hot. 300 degrees atleast on the rotor and left rear pads smoke. Right rear was around 225-250 degrees. Im starting to think its the master cylinder.

    I finally got the left rear hose replaced and it still does the same thing. Left side is a little hotter then the right side. Thinking now I need to replace the center hose.

    You can smell the pads and see smoke sometimes. Also I have had to replace the axle seals more the likely due to the excessive heat. Anyone ever seen a proportioning valve go bad somehow?

    I bled both sides good when I put the LR caliper on.

    Ive cleaned the slides and everythig is free...also replaced the one caliper...seems odd both hoses would go bad....

    Not sure what to do. 2000 Tahoe with rear disk brakes. Replaced the LR caliper cause I thought it was one one side (maybe cause I see that side more).
