Love the white! Welcome, and keep up with the build thread!

    Sooooooo, I bought a PPV ...

Had to go back to the start of this thread to remember actually, it'll be 8 years pretty much around this time. Might be the longest I've owned any vehicle.....

    Sooooooo, I bought a PPV ...

Just dropping in a pic, I've still got the ol girl. It's around 275k now, no longer a daily driver but instead a garage queen next to the Z06.

2014 Tahoe ppv. Need help trying to install a viper alarm/remote start

Those relays/wires aren't going to be familiar to anyone, unfortunately. I imagine the output wires for each relay will no longer be physically connected to anything on the other end of the wire. But you can test for switched/adequate voltage, and use them for something else down the road if you...

    Reliable Gas Engine Years?

I agree its really hit or miss, but both by maintenance and also how hard you are on them. My PPV was North Carolina State Highway Patrol vehicle. When I purchased it, it came from auction freshly stripped of all equipment and vinyl, with 179k miles. It came with a complete service history...

Power inlets and round metal disc on rear of SSV

The power outlet is most likely from a shoreline (power) that gets hooked up when the truck was sitting in a bay. If it is an actual shoreline, it would eject itself when the ignition cycles by the key.

    Purchased my first 2011 PPV

Looks good, and its off to a good start to make it the way you want it. Even the dash looks like its in one piece!

    I bought another PPV

I like the later PPV wheels, they look good on there!

    This is my Tahoe PPV.

Not going to kick your projection/goal since everyone else beat you up. :) Nice PPV though, looks clean! Nothing like a clean black vehicle. How is the interior?

    Radio install options

Chime box is included in there.

    Radio install options

BTW, I logged all of that into my build thread. This link will take you to my head unit install, I also eventually added a sub amp and a single 10", the Alpine amp that mounts behind this head unit, all new door speakers, and Motorola MA1 wireless AndroidAuto adapter. Its all in the thread if...

    Radio install options

Here is the kit I used. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GP51ZF2?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 If that doesn't work, search Amazon for UPC 712691534220 Comes with everything you need. If you remove the factory radio, you aren't going to have door chimes or any of that jazz, part of the...

    Bought my first PPV Tahoe

Even though you mentioned you tried those "new" parts, I've too many times had a bad coil or other electronic parts out of the box. I'd swap an injector from another cylinder, clear the codes and drive it. If it says on #4, swap the coil from another known good. At least you know those...

New 2014 K-9 PPV Tahoe Build

I'll have to look on the next beer run, but I think I have passed 280k now. I have the complete records of my Tahoe, down to every turn signal bulb. Original 5.3 and 6L80, I still have all the AFM parts but its been turned off in the computer for maybe 2ish years now? I'd say keep driving it! Do...

Lurking no longer, now a PPV owner

Well done intro thread with pics included. We expect DIC pics when that mod is done. :) Very clean looking Tahoe, congrats on the find! Your initial desires to change/improve were about the same as mine were. I really preferred the OEM center console, so I waited patiently until one popped up...

Need to get some of the PPV adhesives off a new to us PPV

All the above mentioned, then I'd definitely cut it with an orbital and some good compound. I had to do the same where the sun baked the finish from 10+ years of service, it was like brand new under the decals.

    Sooooooo, I bought a PPV ...

There comes a time for all of us. . . . . . . Unfortunately, that time has come for me. . . . . . . . Time for a trickle charger, that is. The Diehard is dying hard, but figured mostly from my not needing to daily the Tahoe in about 3ish years now. Pretty thankful to have a take-home...

2013 Chevy Tahoe Z71 PPV Outfitted, Battery drains overnight.

From previous years where I turned wrenches for a living, and from a couple of key parts you pointed out, the first thing that pops in my head is going to be the idea you don't want to hear. That is going to be chewed wires. You've done the best rule of thumb though with the K.I.S.S. method...

    Tahoe PPV (police package)

I had a flashback to 2004, and wanted to post the meme "I can catch lightning in a bottle, but still can't figure out wtf you just said". I thought I might be the only one....... :p

Full air-ride swap/lowering - What to look for?

Are you using these on the front of yours? Good info on the TBSS bags, interesting. Also since I already have a Vaair 450c compressor and 5gal Hornblasters air tank for my trainhorns, I might really be able to budget airbags all around. Hmmm.....

Full air-ride swap/lowering - What to look for?

Hope there are still some of you around that have full air-ride setups. I've been searching here and elsewhere online to see who still offers a full kit for the GMT900, a few of the more reputable companies don't seem to offer their kit for this chassis any longer. Kelderman seems to have been...

    Lowering Kits

I'm easily over 50k miles on my Belltech kit, clearly one of the best things I did to my Tahoe. While I don't have any experience with any of the off-branded kits, and I didn't have any factory air ride, I can tell you I have zero regrets about going Belltech. The kit was complete and...

What color is your bowtie on your PPV/SSV

I am pretty sure they all came gold, mine did too. I removed the chrome grill inserts and found an aftermarket black grill set, and painted my bowtie black like my heart also.
