Selling my 2001 GMC Yukon Denali with 137,xxx miles (6.0L AWD) Clean title. Located in San Jose, CA. SOLD
The truck drives great and is in good shape in/ out. It has been dealer serviced until 105k and well maintained by me after. As you might be aware 137k on these trucks means barely broken...
so recently my 2001 denali no longer activates the daytime running lights. The truck basically turns on the headlights and mutes the dash lights the whole day.
Where can i start troubleshooting this?
where is the sensor located?
As far as a stereo.. i would recommend an after market deck... something basic with BT .. it will really wake up the sound. Welcome! I have an 01 that looks almost exactly like yours :)
so i've been having this issue for a while now..
1. when I press forward or use the window washer the wipers start working but do not turn off.
2. I need to use the wiper switch to turn wipers on/ then off - this does the trick to turn them off.
I did a little research and found that GMs have...
dont just replace parts fo the hell of it.. take it to a shop and have them tell you the exact problem. I replaced both solenoids and the charcoal canister. i still get the code
i mounted my monitor differently but the same set up: https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/just-another-backup-camera-monitor-install.93213/
its ok.. the camera sucks since its not wide view fish eye enough.. thinking i might replace the camera
okay.. so i replaced both solenoids and the vapor canister.. yet i still get this code. I read on another threat that a fueltank sensor might cause this as well... is this my next option?
or you could just get something like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fits-Black-01-06-Sierra-Yukon-Denali-Halo-Projector-LED-Headlights-Bumper-Corner-/202568948546?hash=item2f2a0cdb42
I have them.. they look pretty good.
thanks for the advice everyone.. i looked this weekend. The noise is definitely coming from the hinges, although one door does have a squeak that comes from rubber piece at the top. Lithium grease did mask the noise some on other doors.. but driver side door seems to still have that hinge noise...
so i have an annoying door binding/ squeaking sound every time i open any of the 4 doors, especially driver door. I tried putting some synthetic grease on the door hinges, but that only lasted a week.
Can someone recommend lube points and a type of grease that will last for a while.
I am in CA...
