    Should I buy a 2019 Tahoe ?

I bought an 18 with 30K on it for $38K. Have not regretted it for a second. Do not want the independent rear/4 wheel alignment BS on the 2021, will likely switch to a pickup or another brand when its time to replace this one. Plus imo the pickup front end on the 2021 is absolutely hideous. A big...

    Built in AC inverter?

I just cut the cigarette lighter plug out in the rear of my 05 suburban and wired a cheap inverter in its place. Took all of about 5 minutes. I used it to charge cordless drill batteries no problem. Did the same thing up front and put the inverter in the storage bin between the seats. Charged my...

My Z71 seems lower than it should

I'd leave it, looks great. Lowering the rear is so much smarter than leveling the front to achieve the same stance from a wear/tear and ride quality perspective.

    18 Tahoe

sold my 05 Burb and bought an 18 Tahoe. 4wd LT. Nothing fancy. Plans are 2” rear drop (need help/info) and 22” ck157s probably silver instead of chrome. All I’ve done is range AFM delete, 15% on the front windows, black bow ties. Will post a few pics in a second having issues

Show off your 2015-2020 lowered tahoes and yukons

I read all 24 pages of this thread - - - so pardon the question if I missed something. New to the late model/lowering thing. I just upgraded from an 05 Suburban to an 18 Tahoe LT. It is 4wd with the premium ride suspension (not auto ride, it has the Nivomat shocks). I'm looking to lower the...

how do you remove tahoe body?

Did you get the ones up above the axle? Not sure if Tahoe has them but my Burb had 2 up front, 2 in the rear, 3 along each side, and 2 above the rear axle = 12

    45K Maintenance

No reason to touch the tranny at 50k. And no reason to change belts if they aren't cracking or worn.

No grooves on the face. I left the edges alone.

Best option for replacing stock shocks

+1 on that. I went with Moogs/Ranchos and eventually Bilstiens. Took all of the autoride components out and put resistors on the shock/pump wiring.

    tire size

Depends on offset but I ran a 285 70 on mine with no lift for a while.

    01 daily/project

I sanded mine from 400 up to 1500 with an orbital and then polished with Mothers/power cone and they came out looking real good, almost like chrome. Don't have any pics though. Took about 1 hour per wheel.

    New from FL

Whats up. Joining the forum because I hope to learn a thing or 2. Have owned a lot of Chevy trucks, have had my Burb for about 10 years. It's an 05. Mods include front coilover swap, tubular UCAs, Z71 rear coils/spacer as well as typical debadge/demold etc. It was an autoride but I ditched that...
