Good news, @Eod1 , the world can rest easy with the knowledge that I was able to install a bumper reinforcement with a hitch. Now I can go back to taking S-curves at 55mph with my 24' enclosed trailer.

I'm fairly certain it was purchased (see attached photo). I bought it directly from the municipality, and they were the original owners, so something along the lines of a bike rack makes sense.
That being said, it's getting tossed in favor of an OEM mount.

I had the same thought about a bicycle mount. The truck came from southern Texas, so a snowbank is unlikely [emoji6]
For sure I'll plan to never tow with this thing again, but hopefully it'll be ok this once. I'm not picking the bike up until Thursday, so maybe I'll get lucky and score one on...
