Yukon Stalling HELP!
Service Engine Light finally came on and stayed long enough to pull the code. It was the EGR Valve that was causing the stall. Pulled it out and scraped off the carbon build-up. Checked out the owners manual today. It was supposed to be a 60,000 mile maintenance check. Doubt it ever was...- 2001Yukon

Idle Stall
Still no luck finding what the real problem is for my Yukon. Filled it up with a higher octane gas and put a 2 cans of Sea Foam in the tank. There must be a cheap way to find the codes that the engine is throwing. None of the auto parts stores have a computer smart enough to read the code...- 2001Yukon

Idle Stall
Just took it up the road and the problem started up again. This time I made it all the way home and it stayed running. The Service Engine Soon light came on. This is the first time that the light has ever come on. So maybe now I can finally get a code out of the problem?- 2001Yukon

Wiring Broke / Rear defroster
The electrical line that connects to the back window (rear defroster) is removed. If I used super glue to reattach it, would the system work again? Or is it something more complex?- 2001Yukon

Dash rattle
What would be making a rattle on the driver's side dash. It sounds like a tin plate (firewall?) or something. Only happens on rough roads and bumps. I've looked underneath the dash and see nothing. Short of ripping the dash out (waiting till I get my new stereo) then what could it be? -

Went ahead and cleaned the MAF Sensor yesterday with CRC. Took it for a spin and everything went well. That does not mean anything though. It could die again because the stalling problem is very random. I was planning on also cleaning/inspecting the Trottle Body (AGAIN) and IAC valve...- 2001Yukon

Yukon Stalling HELP!
I will try to test the fuel pump. Will a dealer test that for free? The engine turns over just fine on a cold start. Regular warm starts are just fine too. On a hot start (after stalling) it sounds like it is flooded. So it takes multiple tries to fire it up. Even then the RPM's won't stay...- 2001Yukon

Idle Stall
It has never died on the highway. Only dies when I come to a stop. I have seen no correlation with the amount of fuel in the tank. I had close to a full tank the other morning when it died. Down to a 1/4 tank now and about to go on a trip. So it will be interesting to see what happens.- 2001Yukon

I've been told it could not be the fuel pump. The theory is that it would not be able to get up to highway speeds with a bad fuel pump. Also, why would the fuel pump work for some trips but not other trips?- 2001Yukon
