The DC power isn't an off brand. I called them and they said there's usually a harness that runs a wire from the + terminal to the left pin on the 4 pin plug. I'll give that a shot and see. They did say if the regulator went they can fix it for about $50. Much cheaper than even a stock replacement.
I checked voltage on the brown wire in the 4 pin plug (there's 3 wires in it, center of the 3 is brown) and it's 10.5v which from what I can find it's supposed to be. It goes through a bulb to drop voltage
After finally getting my 04 Denali back up and running it was fine for a few weeks and now I'm getting a battery not charging message. I put a new interstate battery in when I did the transmission a month ago. I went to take it out 2 weeks ago and when I started got the battery not charging...
I decided to pull the tranny and have my buddy rebuild it. Had the tranny out in less than 5 hours on my back so was feeling pretty good about myself. Should be back up and running this weekend and then I'll need to figure out the rust. If I do it I'm going to do both rockers and driver rear...
I know. I've parted plenty of cars. I also know it takes a while and then I have to get rid of the shell. Since I'd end up selling wheels and suspension it's going to be hard to move it. I'd rather have someone else take it for all they can use and part the rest
I know it's not much and even then only to the right person. Again, someone that wants most or all of the custom stuff and has the time to part the rest
I know that's what's going to happen. The rust is way less than most of the trucks I see around here. I'm not expecting more than $3k or so if I'm lucky. My guess is whoever buys it has a similar truck and will just swap all the mods over and part the rest
I have an 04 Denali with about 150k on it. A few months ago I had a tranny cooler leaked and burnt out the built transmission. The truck has been sitting aside from moving it around in the yard. I was doing the math and it's going to be more money to fix than it's worth. The new tranny is only...
There is an issue with the seat controller on the passenger side that causes the forward/backward of the seat to move backwards. It's been a while since I've looked into it but from what I found you need a tech2 to reprogram the module. When I called the dealer they wanted an hour or two of...
Here's my 04 Denali on Escalade rep 22's I'm lowered 2/4. In that pic I had spindles and keys in the front but I ended up putting the stock keys back in the front to level it out better
If you're having a shop recover it they should know how to fill the hole. I used a thick cardboard (used for door panels) to fill mine then used gorilla tape to hide the seams. Once it's covered you can't see it at all.
All the mouldings and badges are gone and so is the rear bumper for a roll pan and hidden hitch. The side steps are regular yukon side steps that were sanded smooth and painted to look like denali steps. The denali steps have a bumpout to blend in with the stock body moulding. The holes in the...
I've got a lot of experience with plast dip from DYC. My last BMW was completely disassembled primed with paint then dipped with 9 gallons. Back when I did it about 8 years ago DYC had never even heard of anyone dipping a car to that extent. I had all the glass out, replaced all the seals and...
I got rid of all the badging on the truck. My calipers, shocks and adjustable pan hard bar as well as some underhood stuff are all painted burnt copper. All my cars have the same color scheme. That's part of the reason I'm leaning towards gun metal for the rims so I can keep the burnt copper...
