I recently replaced the rear brake heat shield, parking brake cables, and parking brake hardware on my 2004 Yukon SLT 4 WD. I email the guys at etrailers and they replied with this Answer: Check to see if there is voltage on the red wire of the controller when the brakes are applied. It sounds like that is the root of your problem. Typically when this issue arises on a GM vehicle like yours the issue is a blown...- 04 Yukon SLT

Thank you for the help. I tried to pull the cable hoping there was a split conection somewhere along the frame but i didnt see one. I will send you some photos of the under side of my truck.- 04 Yukon SLT

The brake lights work and I replaced the fuse. I will replace the brake switch to see if that fixes it.- 04 Yukon SLT
