I recently installed this sub in a MTX Thunderform enclosure in my Tahoe running off a Polk PAD5000 at 2ohms and it sounds great. I ran a 10W1v2 in it the Thunderform for a while and although it is a great sounding sub, I prefer the Polk over it.

Gonna bring this thread back up to see what sub the OP went with. I just ordered an unloaded Thunderform and a Polk MM1040DVC to replace two JL 10W1V2-4 currently powered by a HiFonics TXi-1008D. Unfortunately the basket design of the Polk sub hits the taper inside the MTX enclosure. Right...
I think I am starting to lean this way simply for the cleanliness of the install. I will need to upgrade the sub if I go this route. Any ideas how much air space is availiable with a custom fiberglass enclosure in this location so I can start researching possible sub options?
