Factory skid plates installed on 2015 Tahoe LT (GM # 23176881)

That part # is the full kit- both aluminum front plates and the small black t-case shield. It should come with the new bolts, if not you will need to use the other part # I listed to order them.

Added a tow hook to a Tahoe LT

It's pretty straight forward. I ended up just buying the front trim piece with the hook openings, but it's 2 bolts per hook maybe 20 min job total on the 15'+s.

15' Tahoe Rough Country Step Bars

Mine fit correctly on the factory mounting spots- wasn't perfect. I had to lightly tighten the bolts out of order (from the directions) to get them lined up but after that I just tightening them up and it fit great. Mine is also a Tahoe, not a Suburban/Yukon XL so I'm not sure it applies to...

15' Tahoe Rough Country Step Bars

I couldn't deal with the fading finish on the factory steps. These were cheap enough so I gave them a shot!

2015 Tahoe LT- Spohn Upper/Lower Control Arms + McBay Rear Spacers

Just installed the Spohn boxed LCAs and adjustable tubular UCAs (listed for 2007-2014 trucks but fit these as well). I previously had Rancho 3/4" rubber spacers in the rear and replaced them with McBay Performance 1" alloy spacers as the Ranchos deformed pretty quickly. I have the autoleveling...

    Passenger side power mirror dead?

I have the non-power folding mirrors on my 15' Tahoe. After going through a car wash the other day, the passenger side power mirror is no longer responding to adjustment controls. I don't think it's the fuse as both mirrors appear to be on the same fuse and the driver side works fine. Everything...

Anyone use Freedom Off-Road UCAs? (2015 Tahoe)

Yep- ran mine with the factory 20" alloy wheels for a while, switched them out for another set of factory sized (same height/width/offset) wheels after a month or so and haven't had a single issue. I ended up re-using my factory lowers and put in Moog lower ball joints on them FYI.

Question about replacing Z85 Tahoe Rear Air Shocks

Yeah, I have no idea. I had the exact same Fox shocks on my 15' Silverado and had no residual issues. It's setup great now, but it took some experimentation to get it right. When I called Fox to make sure these worked on 15s, I asked why they weren't also cleared for 16+ models and they didn't...

Question about replacing Z85 Tahoe Rear Air Shocks

Worth noting that even after installing the Fox shocks and getting a fresh alignment, the front upper ball joints started coming apart a month or so later. Again, not sure if there were almost shot and the lift killed them or if the lift itself did it, but I ended up getting the Freedom upper...

Question about replacing Z85 Tahoe Rear Air Shocks

Yeah for sure. Mine had about 40k factory miles when I replaced the fronts with Foxs and the rears with replacement OEMs. Rides a thousand times better. Not sure what the average lifespan is on those factory shocks, but mine must have been shot because the difference was noticeable.

Anyone use Freedom Off-Road UCAs? (2015 Tahoe)

I overhauled the entire suspension at about 40k miles. It wasn't riding poorly, but it's noticeably better now. I have never towed anything with this truck, so take this with a grain of salt. I've loaded it up with 4 adults, 2 large dogs in the rear crates and the rest of the cargo area stacked...

Anyone use Freedom Off-Road UCAs? (2015 Tahoe)

Didn't change a thing. No error codes, nothing noticeable in the ride aside from being a bit smoother (thanks to the new shocks)!

Anyone use Freedom Off-Road UCAs? (2015 Tahoe)

I am still running the auto leveling air shocks out back. I just meant I replaced them with new factory units as opposed to aftermarket shocks. I haven't had any issues with only 3/4" spacers. I'd think you would need the extension brackets if you went over an 1" maybe?

Anyone actually use these trucks for off-roading? I'd love to hear feedback/experiences...

I'm just curious if anyone can provide positive/negative feedback on the 15+ SUVs in this regard. I do a fair amount of coal roads/trails in PA for various activities and one of the reasons I went with the Tahoe over the Ford Expedition was the solid rear axle + G80 locker. Size was a wash as I...

Show off your 2015+ leveled Tahoes and Yukons!

Shit, I just looked up the order and it's not Rough Country- it's Rancho (part #RS70075). Same deal though it's Polyurethane. I know McBay Performance makes 1/2" and 1" spacers in aluminum but I haven't seen any 3/4".

Anyone use Freedom Off-Road UCAs? (2015 Tahoe)

This is the Fox kit: 0-2" Front Coil-Over | Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP Fox 985-02-018 I'm not sure about the 0-2" honestly, mine came out of the box set to 2" of lift and there is plenty of thread on the shock to go higher it looks like. So the front went up a little over 2" with these...

Air dam replacement 2018 Tahoe LT

Try trimming your factory one first as others suggested. Worst case you end up buying a PPV air dam anyways. I trimmed mine, added tow hooks and put on the factory 3 piece skid plate kit. You can find them relatively cheap online. I think brand new it was $160.

Anyone use Freedom Off-Road UCAs? (2015 Tahoe)

So far between these and the new Moog lower ball joints, it rides so much better. I'm sure most of that is due to the old ones being shot, but the suspension certainly went together smoother with the angles on the Freedom UCAs. So far so good!

Anyone use Freedom Off-Road UCAs? (2015 Tahoe)

I bought a set for my 15' Tahoe that are a direct replacement for trucks with aluminum arms and are angled for 2"-4" of lift. My stock ball joints are just about shot from the Fox shocks and the lift (45k miles on them). I couldn't find any posts on these yet- just seeing if anyone has...

    Dog crates

I have two of the 36" long x 23" W and 25" H crates side by side and they fit easily in my 15'. I believe I had a 30" or 32" H before, and I had to collapse it to get it under the hatch opening, and then put it back up once it was already in the back. The ceiling has enough space for a 30" or...

    AFE Momentum GT

Interesting! That explains why I had to remove the little brace to get it to fit. So far, no weird noises or issues though. Seems to be working nicely.

    AFE Momentum GT

Before and after: Also detailed the engine bay while I was in there and trimmed down the front air dam. Feels a bit better and has a nice growl that was missing before. Relatively easy install as most intake systems are...had to remove the mini brace to fit the air filter housing in and...

Coilover replacements which level for 2017 z71

I put the Fox 2.0 coil overs my 15' and they are fantastic. I actually have about 1/2" higher ride height in the front vs. the stock rear with the factory out of the box spacing on the Fox's. I noticed that they said fits up to 15' model years- I actually asked the Fox tech before I ordered them...

Factory skid plates installed on 2015 Tahoe LT (GM # 23176881)

Yeah as others have said, they are pretty beefy and worth the money for peace of mind. I'm not sure I'd bother spending the money on custom fabricated skid plates. It's cheap enough, easy to install and doesn't require any modifications it just bolts right up.
