Thank your for this info! I’m going to have my audio install guy do this for me. He’s an electrical engineer and I’ll be sending him all your notes made to this point.
Couple more. Need a little more foam between roofliner and sound deadening to kill roofliner slap. But this this thing violently Rumbles! 3200 watts RMS on subs and 125 watts RMS on other channels. DSP to calibrate it all like a studio.

So edgymods are essentially your Choice with the air ride suspension. I bought a set assuming Id land a z71 with air bags but mine ended up not having them and I had the normal lift options.
The air ride definitely complicates things. Edgymods were the only alternative that I found. But you...
The rears weren’t in stock so I only got to go fronts for now. They didn’t use one of the front spacers in the RC 3.5 kit and adjusted the Bilstein up to account for that.
I’ll say I’m pretty particular on my soft ride demands, and the Bilstein with 3.5 feels like exactly the same as the OEM...
I’m getting Bilstein 5100’s for the front and back on my 21 Z71 Non Air Ride. Using the front adjust shock to eliminate front space in rough country 3.5 kit.
The backs are not in stock currently for a couple weeks so it’s just gonna be fronts until rears land. Even GM OEM shocks/struts were...
Dropped off today for AMP. 3.5” RC.
20x9 +1mm Fuel Quake
35x12.5x20 BFG KO2
Painting Skid plate and tow rings Black and debadging as well.
Will post pics this next week when I pick up!
The edgymod owner told me that during driving the air ride would typically change its height (without pushing button) and would also lower height (without pushing button) during vehicle entry mode (if activated). He said his sensors could be used to keep the ride height the same and not let the...
Well fellas of all places a 21 Burban z71 landed 20 miles away in little ol Levelland. Z71 no air ride! Pulled trigger.
It’s on!
Btw for all interested…RC 6” kit and 35” measures 7 feet 1 inch on these new body. RC 3.5” it is
So my next major “ look into “ is how well the z71 front bumper valance converts to an LT. Sure seems like it’s doable. Upper portion of bodies same. Just lower portion is different. I bet it’s easily modifiable or maybe a direct fit?
It’s hard not to go 3-3.5 and 35” on these new bodies. It’s...
so how did you achieve the 3" FR 2.5"? I guess when you said standard z71 suspension I assumed you had no aftermarket lift.
Man I bought an air ride z71 today lol.
I spoke with the owner of Edgymods and he said a 3" is safely doable with the adjustable links and 2.5 " In back. Anything above...
With the edgymods adj end links the vehicle can be locked into one position for all time. Parked, driving, neutral, always one setting and no adjustment. Will this help with compression life maybe? Just bought a 21 z71 so curious to see how it goes with the edgymods
So let me see if Im understanding this correctly....
With the adaptive air ride z71 suspension you can raise your front and back through the vehicle alone without having to buy a RC Kit? I love the look of your grey ride height and youre saying this was achieved all through the Adaptive Air...
By far the best driving truck I’ve ever had. Reminds me of the ride of my grandmas 95 Lincoln Towncar back in the day. No joke, it’s super soft. My first set of BFG’s and I’m kind of surprised. They’re quieter and smoother than I imagined.
I haul a trailer 3-4x a year and it feels like I’m always loading the back down with 150-200lb of stuff. My dual 12” subwoofer setup that’s always back there is 140lb.
I just figured the airbag may be beneficial for the trailer hauling and heavier vacation luggage. The spacer was a cheaper...
