I have a NBS (2001) so I am just about at the end of the suggestions I can offer on your OBS. But I would think that you have some wires running along the side under the door jamb trim piece or under the carpet. Those wires are what sends power to the seats ( 1 of original problems ). Good luck...
With seemingly unrelated circuits causing problems, I would suggest you check the main interior wiring harness. You probably have one or more wires making contact with the body(ground). Electrical problems suck.
Just by knowing how much dog hair, dirt, et cetera collects under my front seats, I would start with taking a look under yours. There might be stuff under there causing an intermittent short.
I even tried this un-gently. No-go. She was a stubborn cuss. I got all the parts inside now warming up before putting it all back together - don't want to freeze my fingers.
I was just trying to remove the knuckle, so all this BS was to get the tapered shaft of said ball joint out of the LCA. And even though this is the original from 2001, there is no slop and it is still tough to move so it is staying put for now. And I did see that tab so I know what I have in...
Today I found a grounding strap that is going nowhere :
This is at the rear of the driver's side. It is still attached at the body mount bushing area, but I can't see where the other end is supposed to go ( Hello Wisconsin ! ).
Can anyone tell where this is should go ?
Thanks.
My 2001 works with an HD cluster. The one problem that I had is that it took 3 of those HD clusters to find one that had the correct speedometer tables (?) in its eeprom.
My thought was that, with the solenoid stuck in the closed position, the battery gets drained when the voltage jumps across the plunger contacts in the solenoid.
I hit the junkyard today and found 2 of the larger 2003-2006 cubbies, but one is missing the rubber insert. I didn't find any more of the smaller cubbies that fit 1999-2002 but i did find what I already had.
They are all fresh out of the sink from being cleaned up.
Yes, for 2000-02 the jumpers must be crossed as in the post you quoted.
I am all sold out of the cubbies until I have another look around the junkyard. If you want to look yourself, these small cubbies are from early 2000s Buick Rendezvous.

Well, I finished this SOB !
I decided on option #3.
This is what I had left of the bolt that broke after I chased the threads as best I could. And look at that rusted-away platform ! 3 of them were in this piss-poor condition.:
I bought a coupling nut and tacked it on :
If I had to do this...
Well, I lucked out in that just the one bolt broke off and the rest can be removed in one piece. I also lucked out in that I figured out how to get it out - I think. The one that broke off was just in front of the rear wheel, driver's side.
Option 1 is if I have enough sound bolt threads left...
Well, I found it :
This is part # 15201791. Stupid-ass cheap design & they cost $45 each.
I bought the polyurethane replacement kit instead.

Now my next headache.
How screwed am I ?
This was one of the body mount bolts.
I also think that a...
So I was checking out the condition of the body mount cushion washers on my Yukon and most of then have damned near rusted away.
Unfortunately, every part # that I find and check doesn't fit.
I'm sure if I hit the junkyard I will find the same rusted away crap that I have now.
I know that...
I pulled all these from vehicles w/o any front-end damage which would have triggered the air bags. None of these have cracked faces, although some feel kinda iffy. As always, I can't guarantee that swapping one of these will get rid of the fault code.
