Service Battery AND Low Coolant warnings

I was going to say it sounds like a ground cable issue. You should check the ground point on the engine block on the passenger side and there is one on the front end of the passenger frame rail. You will need to take the bumper cover off to get to it. Many times these get corroded inside and...

    GeorgeB’s 2002 Envoy “Belle”

Now that the Saturn is dead kiddo is driving this. She has ideas to take it on a 150 mile one way trip to visit family a little earlier than Heidi and I are going. While it is still a solid runner it’s really just an around town beater that hasn’t been on more than a 20mile trip in 6 years. I...

Is this frame too late to save ?

Be aware the brake and fuel lines that run along the fuel tank and the line across in the front get crusty. Make all those repairs before you make a mess with the Fluid-film.

Is this frame too late to save ?

From a veteran rust belt warrior... That frame isn't so bad. I have repaired and continued to drive way worse. Cleanup all the areas you can get to with a scraper or wire brush, Pick the hottest, most humid day you can and soak it with Krud-Kutter and rinse it off after about 10 minutes. let...

    22" Recommended Tire Pressure

35 psi to start or they wear the centers too much. The pressure increases quite a bit when warm so no need to start too high. plus it rides better.

    Is my front diff toast?

The passenger side is the disconnect side. I would have expected noise from the driver side. I would investigate this. There might be something wrong in there. Is there any end play in the axle stub the CV bolts to? Like, can it slide in and out a bit? Does the sound change if you turn the...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Looks good. I have thought on this for a long time and decided that I would try to use 3M pressure sensitive tape to create the replacement. Get nice wide stuff cut a piece to fit and stick on where the original was and then stick a pice to the back of it under the trim that retains it better...

BTW A 3157 turn signal bulb has the right resistance to fool the module. You can use them to be sure the signal to the shocks is present. If the trouble code goes away one of the shocks is bad. This would be easier to diagnose with a scan tool like a Tech2.

    George B's 2000 Saturn SL2. “The Turtle”

I think this is the end for this one. The trans has been shifting funny. One of the rear trailing arms let go a week ago and I patched it up and now this. Condenser is smashed, radiator holds but is smashed. The front subframe has already been repaired the body frame horns are caved in. I pulled...
