I replaced mine myself in less than 30 mins total. Pull off the door panel and there is a single pin that holds it in place. Easiest thing I've replaced on my NNBS trucks.

I just installed this head unit as well. Its taking a while to figure out everything when it comes to the amp mode crap but so far its awesome. I did have to buy the same adapter even though all my sound is sent out through the RCAs to aftermarket amps. With all the crap being plugged in the...
I ended up fabricating some new "adapter brakets" for the NBS style seats and just wired them up.
Orange = 12v power
Black = ground
I still have some plans with the measurements if anyone wants.
So far ive hooked up the head unit, run the wires for the amp, mounted the amp and hookep up the sub. I ran out of time last weekend because everything proved to be more difficult than I remembered from previous installs. I wanted to be patient and make sure everything was done correctly. So far...
Not really looking for spl. Ill give the sealed box a try and if im disappointed i will take it back to the builder and have it ported.
Will it make it tighter or just louder?
Give or take a little. Thats also unloaded but it should be ok. If i need to remove some of the space i can put some wood blocks inside.

You do get a sticker of the rainbow logo actually.
I will be putting one of the 6.5s and the tweeter in the front and the other in the rear door. I have 150 sq ft of fat mat extreme still left over from my OBS suburban to seal all the doors. I hope the 8 will be ok. I'm not really looking for loudness but more along the lines of quality. If its...
I just got a set of cmx 465 3 ways from rainbow. I haven't installed them yet but I will let you know how they are this weekend. They were a bit pricey at $650 but they come with two 6.5s and a tweeter per side. Should give plenty of mid bass.
Greetings!
I recently purchased an 04 Denali and picked up a bunch of new goodies for the audio system. The line up is as follows:
Pioneer avh-p4300dvd
Rainbow cmx 465 extreme 6.5" three way speakers (2 x 6.5 woofers & tweeter)
Alpine pdx-5 5 channel amp
JL audio 8w7
4 awg kicker amp...
Greetings all,
I just bought a 2004 Yukon Denali and will be installing a pioneer 3200bt this weekend. I plan to swap out the door speakers out with hertz hsx165 and a set of kicker 8" L5 subs. My question lies in a 5-channel amp selection. I don't really want to drop the $ on a JL 900/5 but...
Instead of killing my back and knuckles while not using an air wrench, cant we use a cheater pipe at the end of the uber crescent wrench?
I like to work smarter not harder if possible....
P.S. Nice lift 99YUK :rocking:
