It’s never about engine break in… engines are properly broken in as part of assembly process in the factory. Go easy for first 1500 miles is about overall drivetrain and also operator to get good handle on the vehicle.
Topic of discussion ad nauseam in corvette forum.
Did dealer gave you the print out of GM workbench when you ordered? That shows if it is retail stock order (TRE) or sold order (SRE). I bet dealer submitted yours as TRE hence no price protection.
I went back and forth between hunter metallic and midnight blue metallic for my 21 Denali. After looking at all the pictures and YouTube videos glad I settled on midnight blue. A different shade with different sun angles!
6.2L ‘21 Denali here, just did a trip to NYC about 375mi round trip. I fill 93 octane. I also have auto stop eliminator installed, got 18.6mpg while driving to NYC mostly highways at 80-85 mph. On way back got stuck in bumper to bumper traffic multiple times, it dropped mpg to 17.7. AC was...
Swapped the switch bank on my 21 Denali with 22 part to get 360 camera button and the auto stop eliminator as well, all plug n play.
Check this thread out..
For badge removal, use heat gun if you have one. Use floss or fish line keeping it pulled closer to the badge and not the panel to cut thru the adhesive. Finally goo gone to clean the leftover glue from the panels.
Certainly a personal taste thing but IMO Fords are no comparison to GM line ups, be it Yukons or Eskys or f150 vs sierras. GM trucks looks so much better, probably why GM suvs are in livery so much and in movies and tv shows.
Good luck everyone who is looking for a Denali, sounds like us who got in last summer were really lucky. Not many packages were on constraint and supplier pricing was still the norm.
Some of the forums have sponsoring dealerships participate on daily basis and help members with looking up their order statuses. Would be cool if we can get someone like that here.
For now, I would suggest pestering your ordering dealership to get the latest status.
You certainly need to include build date if it’s within the range that GMC has in TSB. If this is a basic design flaw as claimed by some then we should see failures outside of that build range.
My Denali 6.2 is late April ‘21 build, bought in May. At about 5k miles now. This issues is somewhat in the back of my mind every time we take a road trip. Love it otherwise.
It’s a common practice with new Corvettes, customer is required to pay as soon as dealer is invoiced. This keeps the avg day inventory to minimum thereby bagging those dealers more allocations from GM. Yukon’s being a hot potato lately, no wonder they are doing the same thing.
If pano roof is something you really want then walk away from this and find or order one with. We have in ours and love it, used everyday we were on the road last summer.
OP,
Let us know how it goes, I’m in MA too. With the freezing mess we had recently, I think I heard my boards struggle to open and fold up. I literally parked my Denali in the sun all day on Sunday to let the ice melt.
If they have an allocation for that week and is assigned to your order, your order status should hit 2000 that weekend otherwise they lied about it.
Ask for GM workbench order # and you can check the status.
