    It’s starting to get cold overnight, and in the morning the side mirrors are frosted. I happed to notice that the driver side, and maybe both, may not be heated. Anyone else have this problem?, Is there a trick to “turning them on” or is it supposed to be automatic?

    2022 Z71 - how to keep it in sport mode?

    Just found out that the auto stop/start eliminator retains the settings for not only auto stop/start, but also all other setting in that cluster of settings (lane assist, rear power switch, etc). Wondering if a similar switch can be made to retain the sport mode setting as well.

    I did 2/3 of the vehicle with xpel ppf, and ceramic coat over all, and yeah, it was expensive. But after 6 months, it still looks amazing. Wish I had gotten the windshield and headlight/tail light clear covers as well.

    Just found out (from my dealer) that the OTA update was primarily to address the issue with headlights sometimes coming in the daytime instead of the running lights. There may be other fixes as well. I’ve asked for the complete release notes, and he said he’d try to get them for me.

    Update completed successfully in about 5 minutes. No noticeable differences. Everything still works. Couldn’t find any release notes. And don’t see any new functionality.

    You need a data plan. The $25/mo connected vehicle plan from onstar will put the speed limit sign back, as well as the google assistant and the built in navigation. I’ve also heard that you can connect the vehicle to a hotspot from your phone to get these services, but cannot confirm.

    The digital cluster and Heads up display will only work for certain apps through carplay. Waze thru carplay, for example, will not show the next direction on the heads up display.

    It’s an Apple CarPlay unlock device. Basically you can play video from the front infotainment screen (to be used in park), and allows you to remove the google wrap when in Carplay, making the CarPlay screen larger.
