So I will need to replace the stereo and everything, is that what you are saying? Also will my wiring harness that is going through the rear speakers need to be replaced also.
I have wrecked 2003 suburban with the bose system in it. Can I take the system out and install it in a 2001 tahoe that doesnt have the bose system. Will the amp just plug in or do I need to replace the radio also. Any help would be great, thanks.
I just bought a 2001 tahoe, its fully loaded, etc.... My question is the rear windows only roll down about half way. Is there a way to make these go all the way down or is this a safety feature that GM did. Thanks
I just bought a 2001 tahoe. I noticed last night that the headlights wont shut off when the vehicle is running. I will start it up when its dark and the headlights automaticlly come on. The switch is in the off position and this one does not have the automatic headlight option. Does anyone have...
How difficult is it to install a torsion key leveling kit on a 2001 chevy tahoe 4x4 I want lift the front end up a little to match the rear suspension.
I used the chassis as the ground and the other wire (red) to the black ground wire going to the pump. Im sure its not enough to cause a problem but by cutting that wire and running it to the chassis it made the voltage to the pump go from 11 to 12 volts. Also by doing this Im not getting voltage...
Well I didnt know about the ground wire to frame rail so I just got done running a jumper wire from the black wire on the connector to the chassis. It works I guess, the voltage stayed around the 12.32 area. Still cant figure out why the orginal ground have voltage to it and cause the test light...
Well gents heres the results, I started it up and let it idle. I then cut the black wire and the yukon shut off, just as I suspected it would do cause there is no ground wire to complete the curcuit. I then left it cut and ran a ground wire from the black wire on the conector and hooked it to...
I went and hooked up my multi meter from the black wire and tested it for voltage, it was at 0.13 volts. So apparantly there is voltage going to it and Im sure there shouldnt be.
Yes i did install the supplied harrnes plug that came with the napa pump. I did this about 3 years ago. The plug...
Well I just checked the voltage and its at 11.29 volts. Is that enough or am I low on voltage? If its low I wonder where it could be. Thanks for all the help guys.

OK OK OK, I did another voltage test. The...
Yep I tried the on/off key thing. All the pumps would made noise like there were working for about 2 to 3 seconds, enough to build up a little pressure. I even released the pressure through my pressure gauge to let it build up again. Still nothing, I then did the key on/off thing again, I had my...
Thanks for the tip, I just ran out to the garage and looked and the fuel filter is installed correctly. It just makes me wonder why the old Airtex one works fine and none of the higher brand pumps wont work. Heck Airtex is a lower end pump, it should fail long before the top brands like Acdelco...
Cant be I guess, the fuel filter is new and the lines snap rite on. Im not sure if its a plugged line cause the old airtex pump pumps up just fine and she runs just fine with it. I have also had the fuel regulator replaced. I know fuel is getting to the injectors cause I am getting some out of...
I have a 98 yukon, about 3 years ago I installed a napa brand fuel pump, it worked for about 2 years. I also did the updated electrical connector that came with the napa pump. About a year ago I installed an Airtex pump and it works fine but my fuel gauge vibrates with it so I am guessing that...
Well I checked all the vacuum hoses, checked for an exhaust leak, I even sprayed carb cleaner all around the intake manifold to check for a leak. Nothing, after clearing the codes its still giving me the same codes p0171 and p0174 lean on bank one and bank two. The only sensors I have not...
Well you always here "do a search" well thats what I did and found this thread. So the only way to replace this seal is to take the gear box completely out. If thats the case Im going to take it to dealer, I thought I could take the cv drive shaft out and use my slide hammer and pull it out that...
I have the drivers side front axle seal leaking also, I havent tore into it yet. Are you guys talking about after you take off the 6 or 8 bolts that hold the cv shaft to the axle where the leak happens? if so is it hard to pull that out and change the seal.
Thanks for the info, that will be helpfull. Do I need to take any pressure off of the front suspension. I assume that I will need to put a jack under the control arm?
