I have wrecked 2003 suburban with the bose system in it. Can I take the system out and install it in a 2001 tahoe that doesnt have the bose system. Will the amp just plug in or do I need to replace the radio also. Any help would be great, thanks.

You can use the speakers, but nothing else. The head unit, XM unit, slave 6 cd changer, and amp from 03-06 will not work in 00-02.

Yes, that was the first year that they moved them up front to match the Avalanche platform.

Ok, well I might pull it out and try to hard wire it in my system somehow. Thanks
