that is pretty low but unless the lifter bores are really messed up, the amount that gets. around the lifters and up the vent hole isn't going to make much differences. especially at 5k.
have you done all the tests like park down a steep hill and or add enough extra oil to cover the o ring...
if you have afm lifters, no you can not run a flat plate unless you can modify it to vent oil from the activation holes. if you block those holes with afm lifters installed oil pressure will back up around the lifter bore and relase the pins and the afm lifter collapse. probably for the first...
my last alignment had way to much toe in.. was feathering my front tires on the outside 2 tread blocks at less than 10k. might want double check with that string if you have time.
I had to take some toe out, left just a tick in, rotated tires and haven't started feathering again.
good info. I wouldn't have never thought about replacing the coils.
I'm sure the one used on my hybrid is long discontinued as well. so I might need this one day.
surging at idle with a cam is pretty text book tunings. needs more in the airflow table I believe it's called.
cleaning and resting the tb and maybe cleaning the maf can help. but I think you're going to have to figure out how to get it to do it in front of your tuners, or at least get a data...
usually grease has a temp and pressure rating. if they spec a good high end grease and you pump in cheap low spec stuff you just make everything worse.
https://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/threads/found-a-12-1-android-head-unit-that-incorporates-hvac-factory-system-controls.111362/
I would be concerned about the built on hvac controls. on these hybrids there's a small electric water pump on the heater hoses, when in auto stop it turns on and keeps...
I don't know id any, if you find something definitely let us know.
over in the standard truck auto forum, there's a sticky of a android based replacement head unit that looks plug and play, but it's definitely not going to have the hybrid screen. which isn't really needed.
huh. I thought forsure my hub would be oem on that side. I haven't tossed it yet, went out and looked. no markings on the flange at all. flipped it over, knocked off some crude and bam.. timkin.
I got it at 135k, guess the oem didn't make it that long. all junk.
I personally have never noticed an engine have zero leaks, switch to synthetic and it start leaking. but if an ls oil pan isn't leaking by 130k. it's a miracle. so it just might.
wasn't there's a big thing about Mobil 1 synthetic being the oem fill for gm ls engines? or was that just...
I was always taught you don't grease sealed bearings. they have the correct amount when manufacturered and anything more just gets pushed out the seals. but since these fail constantly, probably can't hurt anything.
I ended up going with the oem hub last week after Mikez71 said his made...
yes.. the fact that it turned over slowly in the morning and then replaced the started and it wouldn't start at all leads me to thinks replacing both battery cables is a good place to start.
they are known to go bad and look perfect.
I can tell you if you disabled it with hptuners all the monitors pass. that's what I did with mine because I already had hpt handy.
you might be about to find someone to do it for you for the cost of 2 credits.
the plug in modules work but need to be unplugged for the monitors to show...
I am pretty sure things like the Diablo tuner and black bear tuner can turn off afm in the ecm over with a device shipped to you and then email tune files but I don't know if the hybrid ecm is supported by them.
a dongle sounds better than nothing thou. especially since having a full delete...
being in Germany makes it a bit more complicated. I bought mine with no afm issues, but I turned it off on the ecm using hptuners software before the road trip home.
do you have emissions testing where you are, where they plug into the obd2 port to check all emissions monitors are set to pass...
there's a sticky tread somewhere with some stuff to look for buying used. even thou you already own it. most of the same should apply based on how much maintenance you did.
off the top of my head, the torque converter in the tranny replaced if you haven't done it around 125k. when they go out...
depending on what's been replaced. there's a few things that will need refreshed soon ish. if you're a diy guy, it's not horrible. bit pricey to have a shop do.
but my 2 cents is spend time researching that 2018. from my reading they seem to be pretty unreliable compared to these, if you like...
I don't even have that kinda room in my shop at work. but then again, we would never do this work. it would be engine swapped or scrapped.
there was a guy that did this in a parking garage of his apartment complex in a NY during winter.
I have zero desire to replace my leaky oil pan gasket...
