I get just a tad over 10 mpg towing a 22' airstream behind the 2022 Tahoe with 5.3. It has enough power, but it sure sucks fuel. I wished I'd had the patience to get a diesel.
My new Caddy CT4 did that when I bought it (last Tuesday). I got into the settings and fixed it. The settings on the infotainment system are very similar to my 22 Tahoe.
Look for the "vehicle locator lights" setting?
but the feature is called "Approach Detection"
Every car with air conditioning will drip water when there is any humidity in the air. It's perfectly normal. The water comes out the drain tube that is below the evaporator--that's the part in the car that "chills" the cabin air. Atmospheric moisture condenses on the cold evaporator.
It comes with the tow package, but the brake controller is optional (Advanced Trailering Package cost $250). It's the only option I got when I ordered the truck. Not sure what you mean by "higher gear ratio", they all come with 3.23 gears. The ten speed transmission has a very wide ratio spread...
Depends. I bought a 2006 Tahoe with 155k on it, for $6k six years ago. Sold it with 195k for $5k 2 years ago. I think I did all right on that one. When I went looking for a replacement, I decided that since used late models cost so much, I'd buy new, so I got a Tahoe with 4 miles on it. Now I...
My mid-22 built Tahoe was missing park assist due to lack of parts, and the window sticker notes that it's missing, gave a credit of $50, and says "includes later retrofit".
so the parts scarcity should have shown up on the sticker?
Or you could ignore the AFM and just drive the truck. We have a 22 and I don't worry about AFM. A few people have problems, not the majority? seems it mostly gets badmouthed by folks who don't live with one of the new trucks. Which are really pretty nice.
Going from a 2006 mid level Tahoe to...
From some of the questions you see on automotive forums, it's obvious that a lot of people don't read them...so I guess it makes sense to not provide them any more.
But my 2022 Tahoe came with one, and I refer to it often
Interesting about GM AGM batteries. I just replaced the original GM AGM battery in my FILs 2019 Regal, it lasted 5 years, like most batteries. I've had similar experience with other GM batteries. Maybe New York is harder on batteries than Arizona?
but like he said, you won't get much useful...
our 22 Tahoe has a rear glass rattle...only when towing the Airstream trailer. I think the air builds up in front of the trailer, and pushes the window in just enough to let the latch lose contact momentarily. I wonder if you get the same sound?
I just checked a few days ago if any more updates were available, nothing...so I guess they have all the bugs out of it now. But coming up on two years I've had the truck, time to trade it in on a new model, just like my phone :)
My folks moved from Minnesota to Arizona when I was a baby in the early 60s, never had any salt damage since.
The 57 Plymouth wagon we had when I was little had plenty of rust, they sold it off pretty quickly after moving down.
