Which of these is better? I wanna save money of course but if 91 octane overall will increase longevity of the vehicle than by all means

Every few dollars the pump will click sometimes. Seems to be worse in cold weather. Always has done it since I got it. Sometimes it does it. Sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I also smell gas when I first start it up in cold weather mostly. Than goes away pretty quick...
