Has anyone taken a Yukon out on dirt roads without 4 wheel drive? We just bought a 2016 Yukon SLE but previously had a Jeep wrangler. We made the change to fit our growing family (4 kids, two with car seats) but didn’t have the budget to be picky for the AT4 and went with what we found used, in...
Hey guys, first post here. Don’t chew me out too bad if it’s just something easy and I have over looked. My Yukon will drive all day with no load, if and only if I stay under 25% throttle. If I give it more it stumbles. It won’t go above about 3500 rpm up or down hill doesn’t matter. It will do...
Back in Jan I picked up a new to me 2013 GMC Yukon SLT.
154k, Single owner, Tow package. Darn near every option except for the Nav headunit as far as I can tell from the RPO codes.
These pics are the day after I picked it up. What I found really interesting for a vehicle with this amount of...

Would swapping the OEM tail lights from the Yukon fit right in? Bulb twist sockets and all?
Or Need to swap with GMC pigtail harness as well?
OR No dice, it wont work somehow
Let me know, GMC lights looked so much cooler this gen.
Hi Everyone:
Have a deposit on a used 2020 Yukon SLT and just discovered the AFM Lifter Issue online. I cannot figure out if the Service Builletins include the 2020 year or just 2021 L82. Lot's of stories about older Sierras and Silverados but can't narrow it down.
Should I back out and look for...
Is it necessary to plug off the oil passages in the oil pan when doing a DOD delete? I had a full DOD delete kit put in (from ams racing) and tuned by a guy who’s local and came out to the truck where it was being worked on. My mechanic said its not necessary but its kind of got me wondering...
My vehicle is a 2005 Yukon XL SLT. I went to remove my spare tire as the rim is beyond rusted and the tire doesn’t hold air anymore. The cable comes down ok, but the spare stays up. I read in the owners manual about a second latch mechanism, and I tried to follow it but it seemingly made no...
Hello! Hope no one minds me making a quick thread here. I cant find one that pertains to my exact concerns. This is my first time doing a full suspension lift and my first time joining a forum. I have a beautiful 2007 yukon denali and i am looking at rough countries affordable 7.5" lift. My...
I've actually been a member here for over a decade now, but I never really considered my 2005 Yukon Denali a "project" until recently. Truthfully, I'm not sure I would've if I hadn't been coming here for this long.
Anyway....
I bought my Denali back in 2011 for the wife to cart around the...

My truck was unfortunately totaled early morning on my way to work by some distracted driver who ran the light going 40mph and didn’t bother looking at the street lights. Street lights were out on the main cross streets so we had to resort to 4 way stop method as it was my turn...
Hello all.
I recently did some work to the front end of my 2012 Yukon SLT. I replaced the shock/strut and upper control arms on both sides. Took it to the dealer today for a re-alignment and was told the cam bolts are installed incorrectly so they could not complete the alignment. The...
i recently bought a 2013 gmc yukon xl and i want a deeper and a bit louder exaust. I know very little about exaust and i was just wonder what the go to is usally for these.
I upgraded my alternator to a 140 amp and replaced the belt tensioner after auto zone sold me several wrong parts. its a 1999 yukon SLT 4WD with the belt on the ac compressor. After Installment the pully tensioner will tap the stopper, it seems to get louder when put in reverse or turning the AC...
Brand new to the forum here. 2023 Yukon Denali with 3.0 Diesel. Engine completely dies when giving it more than half throttle and throws "Service Emision System See Owners Manual" and "175 mi Until 65 MPH Max Speed". Can reproduce it every single time we try. Started with power cutting in and...
High pitched whining from the front belt area. Had alternator tested, test came back good. I am planning on replacing the idler/tensioner pulleys but curious if I can replace just the pulley on the alternator? Every part store in my area does not sell one and have to buy the full alternator. Any...
Hello all,
I'm new to the group as I purchased a 6.0 2006 Yukon Denali from my dad with a little over 240K on the clock. Don't let the mileage fool you though, this truck as been extremely maintained its entire life and looks as good as if it just came off the show room floor with a couple of...
2023 Yukon SLT. Equipped with “AC seats” in the front. Only problem is I don’t notice the effect at all. I can hear the fan running in the seats, but feel no air coming out. Anyone else have this issue? And if so, what did you do to resolve? Might take it in to the dealer, but I’m sure I’ll be...
Ive done a bit of reading but have not found all the answers to my questions. I have a 2004 Gmc Yukon Denali and it has a clutch fan. It had been replaced within the last year along with a cold case radiator, belt, and etc but it is loud when driving most of the time I turn the a/c on. I want to...
I have a 2007.5 GMC Yukon SLT.
Quick Story: did a cam swap and now it won’t crank up. It makes an almost clattering noise and won’t catch. I don’t want to keep trying to crank it on.
Long story:
About a year ago, I started having the lifter tick issue but was able to temporarily fix it by...
Hello all,
I'm currently looking into buying a GM SUV, really looking into a (Suburban or Yukon XL). Been doing research online, youtube vids, blogs/forums etc, etc. How reliable are the new GM Full size SUV? How happy are you with your purchase? Any issues to look out for? Responses from long...
so as im sure a handful of you know - my gen 1 6L80 finally got tired enough to throw in the towel & so while i have taken on my first ever trans rebuild/overhaul - of which im taking an over abundance of caution with & patience with myself - i’ve also decided to tend to some parts that REALLY...
Here are pics with 275/65/20s Nitto Recon Grapplers before I have it taken off and a 1" or 1.5" leveling kit installed. This kit feels like it lifts it too much and creates too much wheelwell gap if that makes sense. A 34" tire is the tallest without rubbing on a stock wheel FYI.
