Ok, I’ve been working on replacing all of my light housings on the front end and converting to LED’s. With a little perseverance and some guidance on this forum, the whole process has come together quite nicely. I’m down to my last step before moving to the rear lights... turn signals. I put these off because of my early google findings about “hyper-flashing” and “ load equalizers”, etc. I have the new led bulbs and the load equalizers on hand but before I dig in, I thought I might post this for any heads-ups, pointers, or potential pitfalls first. So... wyg?

I recommend the Novita EP29 if you still have the hyper flash even with the load resistors.

I was planning to mount them on the metal frame somewhere out of the way. I picked up some extra wiring in case I needed to get away from the housing a bit to do so. The bulbs are dual filament so I will be guessing at which wire is the blinker and which is the running light.

What about replacing the flasher relay with an LED compatible model? Would this eliminate the need for resistors at each bulb?

Also, I put the led bulbs in my side markers and they are not lighting up. Do these require resistors as well?

I saw that flasher in my investigating online. However, it says it’s incompatible with ‘02 Tahoe. I haven’t located or pulled the current flasher to confirm pins, etc to even have a clue yet. Would the new flasher eliminate the need for resistors?

I did the front first then installed novita flasher fixed the hyper flasher. The when I got the rear led tails they came with it's on resistors, I unplugged them to see what would happen and the lights stayed lit. So u plugged them back in and left them like that with the novita flasher still there

An electronic flasher should eliminate hyper flash without load resistors but if the brake lights are led you’ll need resistors on those in order to keep your cruise control working.
