I wanted to get some feedback. I have an ‘05 CL AWD...just had it a few days now. I’ve noticed that when I accelerate, there is hesitation as I should be ready to shift into 2nd...once it hesitates, it then takes off!

I am thinking either an accelerator sensor or the electronic throttle body.

has anyone else experienced this? Am I on the right path here?

Does it rev up and down normally in park or is it rough/ hesitate? I’m thinking if it only does it prior to shifting into 2nd you’re probably looking at a trans issue. How many miles on that 4l60?

Mine seemed to do it worse the first and sometimes 2nd time it made the 1-2 shift for the day, then wasn’t very noticeable the rest of the day. I’m with rocket man, guessing trans issue, i’m wondering if some clutch is worn and has a lot of travel before it locks up. Now it’s not perfect and not that it’s really fixed, but I got a tune from blackbear(not for this issue) and whatever they change to make it shift faster has covered up the issue for me. That being said, if my 230k mi trans let go tomorrow I wouldn’t be shocked

Thanks for the reply...apparently I am not getting notices!

So, yes, it revs up and down correctly. However, I did isolate the problem...which is the ride control system. I turn that off, and it runs like a champ! So...add to my list figuring out what's wrong with that system....

The vehicle has 214k miles on it.
