GM Not accepting builds until the end of the month?

My local dealership says that GM is not accepting new build requests until the 30th of January, because the plants shut down for a week over Christmas and they have to get caught up. Can anyone confirm if this is legit?

Translation: The dealership has no vehicle allocations for several weeks for the type of vehicle you didn’t mention (a Tahoe or Yukon?).

My dealer gets their allocation on Thursdays. They didn't accept any over christmas and new years, but I got word my went in on the Jan 9th. No build date yet. I placed the order in August knowing they were not building 2025 Yukons until October. Dealer says he can only place an order for the Ultimates about one every 2-3 months.

My order got placed 2 weeks ago (1/09) and was accepted the following Wednesday (1/15).

TPW is 2/17 for my shortie Denali Ultimate with executive rear seating.
