2013 chevy tahoe z71 with 65k miles on the 5.3L

I noticed that the oil pressure at idle, in drive and up to operating temp was 20psi. When I put it under load, it goes up to around 35-40psi. Are these numbers normal? I don’t think Ive ever seen it down to 20 before, usually 25 or so.

For reference, mine is about that and maybe slightly higher. From what I’ve read on here it is normal. My 2011 xl Denali with 101500 mi will be about 22-25 at hot idle and 37-43 when driving. It’s around 50 at start up and goes up to 60 when first starting to drive until it gets hot.

Mine are in that range, even with over 9,800 hours on the engine.

What is the current status of your oil? I notice that when I'm approaching 5000 miles (my oil change interval), my oil pressure may be a few PSI lower at the various phases of my engine RPM's, but that reverts back as soon as I change my oil.

Being mildly paranoid, I'd take this as a sign to try an oil change interval of 4500 miles, even if it's clean.
Feeling really froggy? Have the used motor oil analyzed to see if it's diluted by something, or just getting old.
