01 suburban won't start

I'm changing the cam sensor and it's in a tight spot on the 5.3 in my truck.the books say to pull the intake.please tell me some of you have done it without pulling the intake.I don't wanna do it cuz I just had the intake gaskets done 6 months ago.thanks. Vj

Meh a gasket is pretty easy to replace. Rip'r open.
